Worldwide numbers: $424 million According to Warner Bros: Biggest Superhero opening weekend of all time • All time biggest March opening • WB's biggest opening of all-time in China • WB's biggest IMAX opening of all time • 2nd biggest WB int'l opening of all-time (behind HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2) • Biggest opening for a Ben Affleck film • Biggest opening for a Zack Snyder film • Biggest opening for a Henry Cavill film
It's a big FUCK YOU to the reviewers, who are bought by Disney. Look at the reviews that the disgusting Star Wars movie got.
Titanic did all that kind of box-office shit....yet its still seen as a shit movie for women. opcorn:
Look, padawan, if you want to do a box office report like a true connoisseur like Panchy, you better check your facts and claims first. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is NOT the biggest superhero opening of all time. It is in fact #4 behind The Avengers ($207.4 million), The Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.4 million), and Iron-Man 3 ($174.1 million). It is WB & DC biggest opening, though, as it improved over recorder holder 'The Dark Knight Rises' $160.8 million. As for biggest domestic March opening ever is still a 'maybe' until final numbers are tallied tomorrow as its numbers are too close to Harry Potter & The deadly Hallows Part 2 which originally was also estimated at $170 million, but by Monday ended up with $169.1 million. This film might hold its estimate or go a little higher or lower. We will know for sure tomorrow. All the other records you mentioned are just laughable as they limited to one studio, WB, actors & director. While its $57.3 million China opening looks great, it is not even close to last month's The Mermaid which opened there with a whooping $120 million. Also give us the report on the other films box office. Otherwise this belongs in the 'Batman v Superman breaking box office records?' thread. No need to create a new one.
LOL at the conspiracy theory that Disney bribed critics to bad mouth this film, currently stinking the joint with a 29% rotten at Rotten Tomatoes, in the same league as the no budget 1994 Fantastic Four. Go to youtube and check the fans review of Batman v Superman and comeback here and tell us they too were paid by Disney.
Baloney. The Avengers: Age of Ultron made $439 million worldwide and that was without even opening in China or Japan.
After the smoke cleared and Monday's actual numbers were tallied, Batman V Superman: dawn of Justice debuted lower than projected earlier and took $166.1 million instead. That puts it $6 million above 'The Dark Knight Rises', but below 'Harry Potter and The Deadly Hallows part 2'. The film came frontloaded with a smashing $27 million on Thursday night which added to Friday's numbers made a whooping $81 million, but then the numbers declined on Saturday ($50.7 million) and Sunday ($33.8 million) which looks like negative reviews and word of mouth are hurting the film long run lifespan. http://variety.com/2016/film/box-office/batman-v-superman-box-office-3-1201740145/
deadpool with its longevity and great word of mouth took an almost 60% fall in the second week. I wonder what will happen here... ::
60% drop for a film with a huge opening like this one is the norm, but if it gets a 70% drop that will be disastrous for the franchise.
The film is taking a plunge in China in its second week with a jaw dropping 85% decline. It fell from #1 to #4 with just $2.7 million on Friday for a projected $6-$7 million weekend total. The film is being stumped by local films: a romantic martial arts film, a comedy/crime noir film and a youth drama. alm:

I am now waiting for Rainmaker to state that Disney also bribed Chinese critics. ::
