Sitting here and I realized the only Taylor fight I consistently watch (at least I used to) was the Chavez fight. What are some of his best fights to watch? To replenish my appreciation for this super talent fearless fighter with an almost poetic offense?
McGirt, Perez Post-Chavez 1 fights that are good to watch are Aaron Davis and Glenwood Brown. You could see some slippage against Brown, his punch resistance seemed diminished as he would so often stop when he got caught, but it was a pretty good fight.
He was quite good in the Aaron Davis fight. Probably the last fight where he looked like his prime self. Put it this way, I'd damn sure take the Aaron Davis Taylor over guys like Brook, Porter, Thurman, Garcia, ect...
Somehwhat on topic. It made me think of the card ABC did from Madison Square Garden where they had six of the twelve members of the the 1984 US Olympic team make their professional debuts on one card. Of course, they all won. Off TV- Medrick Taylor and Virgill Hill debuted. The TV card showed the pro debuts of Evander Holyfield, Mark Breland, Pernell Whitaker, and Tyrell Biggs. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iZUFnBlXmQY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
