I fully agree with REED. Who gives a shit if it's not important to some fans? We're not the ones literally laying our lives on the line. The Hall is important to fighters, and I'm sure it saddens those who continually get overlooked for enshrinement.
Yeah but it just seems to get less relevant every year. For me the only thing interesting about is when there are people who are inducted who i haven't thought about for a while.
Yeah, that's basically my point. So what if the standard are low. At least it gives a few (some underseving) fighters the chance to celebrate and feel good
You Could Say That About ANY Sports Hall of Fame... Baseball Takes its HOF More Seriously Than MOST, Yet Their Decision to EXCLUDE "Steroid Era" Players Like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Rafael Palmiero, etc., Has DULLED Relevance/Interest In Their Yearly HOF Inductions Considerably... REED
I don't follow baseball enough to care, but from the little i know it seems to be the strictest and hardest to get into. I'm not saying the boxing version of it should be as "elitist" for a lack of a better tern, but i think it's better than feeling like just about anyone can get in.
I’m iffy on if he deserves it. Has Fernando Vargas gotten in? I think he’s more worthy than Wilder. DeJesus?? How long did it take Curry?? I’d even put Quartey and Forrest ahead of Wilder. But for reasons previously stated, I imagine he will get in.
When Too Slap was admitted before Hamed, the IBHOF acknowledged to the world it was crap. Did the world listen?
On behalf of 99% of boxing fans, I sincerely hope that Zhang puts the nail in the coffin so that bum can go away for good.
