There's just not excuse for them not making it happen. I'm tired of both sides, I hope they do shitty numbers in their next shitty fights and lose. I still think they'll fight but I'm tired of this drama. Both are to blame. F*ck them both.
If anybody here pays to watch either of them fight anyone else besides each other, they should receive a lifetime ban. If you buy any fight other then the one that so obviously should be made, you're a part of the problem as well. TFK
This guys think they're bigger than boxing, clearly. If it weren't that way, the fight would be on right now. We can place the blame any direction we want depending of our natural bias but truth be told they're both to blame. They got into a pissing match they couldn't get out.
Yep, they should have gotten it done. Unless they fight each other, I won't be watching. At least Mosley tries to get real fights.
Floyd has seen something in Pacquiao he's never seen before. He said it himself. He knows he can't win. So he backed out.
Agreed. That's what happens when fighters believe they're bigger than the sport. They had the opportunity to put boxing into the limelight, they did but for the wrong reasons... I believe they'll eventually fight but I'm not sure this fiasco will really help sell the fight.
Further proof of this bullshit that pisses me off is the reaction of most of the forum. Arum, the biggest liar around quickly comes out screaming "Fight off! Floyd scared and Foreman next! to have everyone calling Floyd a coward, etc. Think of this, had Floyd's team come out screaming "Fight off! We offered a random test 23 days before the fight! Manny said no! Coward! Malignaggi next!" The reaction would have been much different. All this media control pisses me off. Like I said, fuck them both.
I wasn't remotely influenced by what Arum said. It's pretty fucking obvious Arum's not going to come out and say "Sorry dudes, we don't want the fight, we backed out" :: I'm going by what I know about the goings on from both sides. I have little doubt that Floyd is the cause of this fight not materialising. I have no idea if Arum wants the fight as much as Manny does, but I'm pretty confident that Floyd doesn't really want the fight.
All people involved will make history by producing the biggest letdown towards boxing fans in the history of the sport. There's absolutely no excuse for them, and i dunno why Floyd is being so stubborn, he really must have enough money still. I know he wanted to have the upper hand but going no step back in order to blow 30 million guaranteed and potentially more is even dumber than i expected him to be.
25 Million+ down the garbage because of these two cowards! Fuck Pac for not agreeing on the test that they presented and Fuck PBF for not taking the fight over the test he wanted. I hope they both get ko'd next fight.
That would be justice, although I'd say Pacq should get ko'd and Floyd should get robbed in a decision, haha. I consider Floyd to be far more 'in the right,' and I think Pacquiao's lame concessions with regard to testing are transparent and insufficient, but at some point Floyd just needs to say 'fuck it' and fight. I have defended the request by stating that Floyd is risking his life and has the right to ensure that his opponent is drug-free in any reasonable manner--which I think olympic style testing certainly is. But Floyd has made his point. Now it is time to make the money. Win or lose, he needs Pacquiao on his resume. And I think he can and probably will beat Pacquiao. It's not for certain, at all. Pacquiao's stamina and power are superb. With the concessions Pacquiao is agreeing to...sure he could still dope (if he ever did), but it's not the same thing as having free reign to do whatever you want around the scheduled tests. Just fight.
Funny, we actually agree for the most part in the boxing forum yet we butt heads on everything MMA. Awesome sig by the way.
The person to blame for this is Prince Naseem Hamed. Nobody gave a sh*t about midgets until Hamed came along and put them on the ppv map. That's when Barrera, Morales and all them started getting onto ppvs and sh*t. Before then, it was HBO after dark. Now you got little sh*ts like Fagweather getting big paydays for handpicking bums and little guys on ppv.
Yep. When Floyd saw Pacman rock DLH with mere jabs and laugh at Cotto's biggest punches, he sh*t himself! Too bad his fans like REED are slurping away on Floyd's cock to see what's up! ::
Sorry but I ain't playing into this it's both of their faults. I blame everyone but Pacquiao and Arum. The ones to blame here are Schaffer, Gs, and especially Floyd. Floyd was afraid and didn't want the fight and now he's right back to fighting smaller guys. How anyone can see that happening and believe he actually wanted to fight Manny is ridiculous.
Just because he is a MMA fan that doesn't make him fucking stupid. It's like assuming you would order a Chavez Jr. PPV just because you are a boxing fan. Shit fights are shit fights, the sport doesn't matter.
The people blaming Manny are crazy. They think because he didn't accept Floyd terms right off the bat it's his fault? That is why there is negotiations. Both sides need to bend a little, Manny did that and Floyd was not willing to bend at all. Who's fault is that?
No. I'm trying to save a little more money this year, and non essential PPV's are out, especially if there's a stream. But what that has to do with the topic on hand, I have no idea. TFK
Floyd wanted random testing until the fight from the beginning. Manny´s first offer was 30 days before the fight. Floyd offered 14, basically meeting in the middle. Manny turned it down and wanted 20 instead. Yet it´s Floyd´s fault again, who wanted to meet at half way. :notallthere: I think your head is up Manny´s ass and not half way.
