Let's get straight to it and say that Randy did a phenomenal job at UFC 74 in defending his title. As a fan and a fellow Washingtonian I was happy to see him win. But as for the title itself -- it still sits in my house. http://fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=20131
Barnett got his ass whooped three friggen times by Cro Cop. Bring him to the UFC and let him fight Cro Cop to earn his shot like Gonzaga did. Then he can talk shit.
Barnett pummelled the sh*t out of Couture in 2 rounds. Couture's the champ now. I doubt roids were any kind of issue. Hell Barnett was carrying flab all over the place in that fight.
"Nobody gives a shit about Barnett, especially me" - Dana White. It's too bad it doesn't look like he's coming to the UFC any time soon. Do you know why Barnett left the UFC?
After he beat Randy for the title, he was caught for steroid use as you know. His title was stripped and his fighting license was suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
With that attitude Dana's just making other promotions stronger, which is always good for the fans.I think he's making a mistake not signing Barnett and Dennis Kang
You're right, Dana White isn't Vince mcMahon and this is not pro wrestling. As huge as a monopoly can be like the UFC, it will crumble back to normal or level status. Too many up and coming or already established fighters out there, and the UFC have it's hands full. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the UFC, I think it's great! And Dana's been nothing but a blessing for the sport, but his attitude reflects his ideas of bossing everybody, which could be his own downfall.
