Second trailer <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/tvKjS2s1v0k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The film opened overseas at the tune of $109.4 million in three days this past weekend. Not IRONMAN 3 numbers, but better than the first Thor.
Thor: The Dark World Forget the negative reviews: this movie is a big improvement over the first one and IMO ranks second next to The Avengers as the most epic, entertaining Marvel film to date. It is difficult to explain the plot without giving away spoilers, so I won't. The less you know the better. Thor needs to not only save Asgard and Earth but also all the Nine Realms against the biggest threat ever faced by the Asgardian. Here the characters grow a bit and are fleshed out a little bit more amid all the action from start to finish. Finally Jane Foster is relevant to the plot and not annoying like in the first film. And Loki is still the most fascinating character in the whole Marvel franchise. Tom Hiddlestone steals every scene he is in...even when interacting with movie legend Anthony Hopkins. This guy is a genius. There are some major surprises that only a Game of Thrones director could have pulled off. I applaud the filmmakers for having the cojones for going with something that might not please audiences, but that works for the plot. And the after credits nugget was a little bit confusing, but will probably make sense when The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron is released. I was pleasantly surprised to see in this clip a well known Academy Award winner actor who I hope can have a meaty role in Avengers 2. The ending of Thor: The Dark World ends with a well known comicbook-like image that hints what will be the next Thor film. If they do THAT particular story, that will be the coolest thing ever! 8.5/10
Not Bad... Not an All Time GREAT Comic Book Flick, but NOT Bad Either...REED Loooooooooooooves How the Writers Keep Thor CURRENT & Fairly EDGY for a Norse God... Loki is BRILLIANT...Probably the 2nd Most Infinitely LIKABLE "Villain" to Jack Nicholson's Joker...You're on the Edge of your Seat Waiting to Hear what he Says Next...The Thor Franchise PERISHES w/Out Loki HEAVILY Involved in the Plot... Solid Movie... REED:hammert:
Blu-ray/DVD will be in stores February 25, 2014. Here is a clip from the elves attack on Asgard. Idris Elba is badass here, unlike the first film. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ItQPxsEhuAI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
a boring as fuck movie that i turned off half way Thor just sucks :dunno: unlikeable character....the movies are all talking, and then the action scenes themselves are crappy with Thor just throwing around his magical hammer
Nah, Not Really...But Even if it Was, what Are You Expecting, Thor to Throw Stiff Jabs & Shoulder Roll???:dunno:...
This the only objective review of the movie off this Forum. The movie was incredibly boring and NOWHERE near as good as 'Thor'. Extraordinary dull chemistry between Hemsworth and Portman (who's as shit-an-actress as they come) Whats with all the goblins-with-laser-guns and shit? 'Thor Meets The Attack Of The Clones' - 3/10
This movie was okay. Better than the first, but still, it's just thor. Who the fuck cares. Anthony Hopkins was more enjoyably in this one and Loki was lots of fun. I think Characters like Thor and Hulk are too boring to be main stars. They are good in small amounts. Like Will Ferrall. 5/10.
Christ, I hated this movie. Not because it was poorly made, but just because it sucked. Natalie Portman walks around for 90 minutes with a box with a knob on it, looking for the porthole into her vagina. She finds it in the form of a race of Viking like Scandinavian space men, and some bad guy I can't remember, who also want to get into that porthole. :wack: - 3/10
Honestly I don't get all the hate toward this film which I enjoyed it a lot, better than the first one. "All Thor does is throw his magical hammer", well, duh, is freaking Thor, that is his trademark. Sorry he disappoints because he doesn't ride an armored vehicle with machine guns and has lots of gadgets in his utility belt. :wack:
