Agreed. A fresher GGG would make it close but Nunn's size, skills and style look like his kryptonite.
I lean that way as well, but I believe Nunn would provide more openings for Golovkin than most opponents who turn defensive and try to outpoint him. Very intriguing matchup.
GGG would have to build up steady accumulation on Nunn to stop him. What we know about Golov at this point is that he's NOT a Jackson/Hearns like one punch KO artist. And to be quite frank, Golov isn't as good a technician as a young Toney and also isn't as quick as a young Toney.
Agreed about the first part. Not sure about the Toney comparison when we are talking about offensive technique, which is what matters here. Toney was obviously the better defender but GGG's ability to cut off the ring is remarkable
Yeah, but what athletic/fleet footed fighter has the guy ever faced? It's pretty easy to cut off the ring on Matt Macklin and Martin Murray.
