    • 85% on Pacquiao straight up
    • 10% on Barrera by KO, TKO or DQ
    • 5% on over 7.5 rounds
    I haven't taken a drink or bet in the past five weeks, but that does look tempting.

    I guess I'm projecting, but you and Jake seem to think that Pacquiao has the kind of fans who are rabid over him AND hang out at fightnews. I doubt it.

    Pacquiao is a favorite of many, but the favorite of not so many non-filipino americans, i'm guessing.

    Hey - at least I posted before the stare-down! :lol:

    I think Barrera's will, desire to go out with a win, NOT be stopped, and adjustments and wiles (moving, clinching, countering, puching in bursts) will make it a much closer fight - and I do think Manny will be frustrated and that will affect his performance.

    But ultimately, Pac is just too strong, too fast, too active...and Barrera is simply not close enough to prime to win it (and Pac IS in his prime).

    So I think the old vet makes it a close fight and the younger in-prime fighter is frustrated and doesn't fight at his absolute best.

    Either that or Barrera makes it a firefight and ultimately gets stopped in an FOTY candidate (for as long as it lasts)....

    But I think it's the former. Barrera will NOT want to go out with a stoppage.

    well, the fact that Rubio laughed at anyone who suggested it would be a close fight and/or that Barrera would win, supports his claim.

    I agree on the first part of your post, and was getting ready to say the same thing, but wasn't sure if anyone was being serious. It's just a prediction thread, after all. We don't even get a DVD from Payton for being right
