This is being reported by Btalk and although I believe them, I actually think this is nothing but a coupe being portrayed by Oscar. If he gets Hatton interested in fighting him (for the money) Hatton will forget about Floyd long enough for Shane to hopefully get in Floyd's ear and try to get a fight going between them.

I mean how the hell can anyone consider a possibility where Oscar and Hatton fight each other? Hatton has shown much less effectiveness over 140 so forget about him going to 154, and Oscar's fatass couldn't buy his way into the 147 division. On the other hand there is the possibility that Hatton says "fuck it" and just accepts his beating for the kind of millions it would net him. I know I would. Still though, I think it's just a coupe for Oscar to put a wedge between the Hatton-Mayweather negotiations and hopefully kick start some Mosley-Mayweather negotiations and for my money I hope it works.

If Hatton fights De la Hoya at any weight, then De la Hoya will shit himself from a brutal bodyshot this time....

Absolutely no chance of that happening.

Hatton has a better chance against Floyd, IMO.

oscar has shit stamina. if he doesnt knock hatton out early, he's gonna get grappled for 12 rounds and lose a decision. IF this fight happens, i suspect it would be at a catchweight of 150 pounds. otherwise, it's not a winnable fight for hatton.

well, if ODH feels like knocking the hell out of the most boring and tedious fighter going today, then i have to support him in his endeavor.

he could use a tune-up fight i suppose - it'll give him a chance to try out some new stuff. plus, he'll rob PBF of a chance to have an easy victory over a perceived threat.

Hatton is way too tiny, and would be inevitably knocked out by coming forward and trying to maul a vastly bigger fighter. Only running, is effective against larger opponents with the referee's permission.

DLH would cut Hatton to shreds, but the fight will never happen. Hatton aint moving up, and DLH cant move down.

Its a great ploy tactic by GBP to put pressure on Floyd to fight who he should be nutting up and doing anyway. Mosely. Floyd is so scared of losing his undefeated status its just funny.

how is Oscar NOT an exciting fighter. you have to be kidding me. with the exception of the Tito fight (which I thought was under-rated), exactly which of his fights have not been entertaining?

    Whitaker- medicore fight

Quartey- 2 exciting rounds, 10 rounds of posing. It was suspenseful though so it wasn't boring while it happened, but for the most part, it stunk on an action level.

Castillejo- This was more Javier's fault for being dull since he seemed more content to survive and make Oscar miss than to try to win the fight.

    Mosley II- average fight

    Hopkins- mediocre fight

Overall Oscar is alright in the excitement department. Most of his big PPV fights are average though, except for the first Mosley fight and Vargas, which were excellent fights.

his fights vs chavez werent particularly exciting either.

against limited opposition, he looked impressive in blowing them out, but so did Hatton.

They would have to arrest Oscar after the fight for what he'd do to Ricky. There is no way in hell Hatton would ever beat Oscar, not a damn chance. He is exactly the kind of fighter Oscar would look spectacular against. He's right there to be hit, he would have to follow him around like he did Floyd. Hatton is wide open, and Oscar would hurt the kid bad.

Doesn't matter. The Oscar that fought Floyd kills Hatton. I'm basing this on his last fight. Hatton is there to be hit, has been hurt by small guys and no way can he take Oscars shots. Not a chance. Oscar stops him.

ok, but clearly that was a function of PBF and not ODH, correct?

No, it was clearly both of them. Oscar wasn't exactly fighting with a ton of fire in there.

Floyd has never been in a real exciting fight though. Maybe they aren't all really boring but they sure as hell aren't barn burners.

If DeLa Fought Christy Martin or Laila Ali,DOUB would Co-Sign on it AND Buy the PPV....

Then he'd Try to HYPE the Fight by Saying we SHOULDN'T Underestimate those Bitches...
