Eagles trade Lesean McCoy to the Bills for Kiko Alonso. He's be 27 next season. Do they think he's on the downhill slide already?

good trade for philly. they dump mcCoys 12 mill salary for a guy who is cheap the next two years. IF alonso is healthy its a great trade since a pro bowl LB is worth waaaay more than a RB. eagles are now*players for suh

It's really hard to tell anything from that video. We'd have to see some actual numbers to see how fast he really is, but I think what TFK was seeing, was his cuts look really slow for an NFL type special teams returner or scat/slot back..........which is what it looked like he was trying out for. Maybe we wasn't really planting his feet and it was more of a casual workout.

I remember seeing the Kansas City Chiefs Hard Knocks season on HBO, and marveling at how good and strong and fast a comebacking Priest Holmes looked in camp after rebounding from an injury. Turns out he really didn't have much left at all and was gone from the league shortly after.

REED Gets How "Undervalued" the RB Position has Become, but @ the ELITE Level, you DON'T Trade an RB for an LB, Coming Off ACL Surgery...Period...

It'd Be like Trading Adrian Peterson for Sean Lee, Straight Up:scared:...

w/Out Question, Shady McCoy is an ELITE RB, No Worse than 3rd-4th in the League, in REED's Opinion...In the Peterson, Beast Mode, Jamal Charles Mix, for Certain...He SHARED Carries w/Sproles All Last Season, which Compromised his Stats, but Dude Can STILL Play...

In Consecutive Years, Chip Kelley has Kicked THE BEST 2 Playmakers he Had, to the Curb...This Move Makes NO Sense to REED...Philly's WORSE Now, Sproles is Still UNDERSIZED, he's Now a Year OLDER, Philly DIDN'T Get Any Draft Picks in the Deal & It's Doubtful Philly's Even in the Playoff Hunt Next Season...Makes NOfuckingSENSE...

if alonso is damaged goods then its not a good deal. if he's healthy its a tremendous deal for philly. mcCoy makes about 10 times as much money. alonso is a pro bowl player and what, 4 or 5 years younger? they can use that money to sign another player. they also cut trent cole and cary williams so philly is gonna have a shitload of cap space.

If the Goal is to WIN Football Games, Make the Playoffs and Possibly Win a Super Bowl, this Move Makes NO Sense Whatsoever...

Aside from Suh, there's Really NO Game Changing Free Agents, in REED's Opinion...

well depends what you mean by game changing? suh is one of the top 5 or 10 players in the league, and in his prime. those guys never hit free agency. there are plenty of difference makers available in free agency and philly will have the money to sign multiple

You just Hit the Nail on the Head, a Top 5-10 Guy in the ENTIRE League...That's what Suh Is...That's Also what Shady McCoy Is...

You DON'T Trade that Guy Head Up, Getting ZERO Draft Picks in Return, No Less, for a 3rd Year LB that MISSED his Sophomore Season Due to Injury...Worse, Philly Had MORE than 30 Mil of Available Cap Space, PRIOR to Trading their Best Player...

There Isn't a SINGLE RB on the Market on Shady's Level...No, NOT Even DeMarco Murray, Who Has Only 1 Other Season of 1,000yds or More, PRIOR to this Past Year...Philly just Got WORSE @ that Position...

REED Doesn't Claim to Be a Capologist, but Some of these Moves are just DUMB...This is an Even DUMBER Move than New Orleans Getting Rid of Sproles, Last Season...DUMBER than Carolina Getting Rid of Steve Smith...

I don't consider Mccoy a top 10 player in the league. Apparently Kelly wants more of a 1 cut, north/south rb

Shady McCoy was Voted Top 5 by his PEERS, in Last Year's "NFL Top 100" Poll...In a "Down" Season, he Rushed for OVER 1300yds...He Has Yet to Reach 27 Years of Age, to Top if All Off...

AT WORST, LeSean McCoy's a Top 10 Player in the League, Neil....

my list is based on who i would rather have on MY team, as a GM. with the goal of winning a championship. mcCoys age is beneficial to him in this scenario. you got other guys i left off like Tom Brady who are old as fuck, but Id still rather have. high mileage guys who i consider more impactful like suggs, ngata, wake, robert mathis, his own team mate jason peters.

bottom line is that RB is not as valuable a position in the NFL as QB, Edge Rusher, left tackle, corner, or other dominant 3 down linebackers or interior pass rushers

since mcCoy entered the league he probably doesnt even have that many more yards from scrimmage than matt forte and i doubt you could get more than a 4th round pick for forte at this point.

Dude, You've Been Harping on McCoy's AGE the Whole Time, yet Produced a List where More than HALF of the Names are OLDER than He Is...

Fuuuuurthermore, Revis and Roethisberger are GERIATRIC by Comparison...Hell Revis has Been Playing Off of 1 Year Contracts that Last COUPLE Seasons...

Again, LeSean McCoy was Voted 1 of the 5 Best Players in the League, by his PEERS....He's NO WORSE than 10th, After a 1300yd Season...

Philly Basically GAVE McCoy Away & REED's Confident History will SHOW as Much, when it's All Said & Done....

reed i said considering mcCoys age, meaning he is relatively young as a running back so that is in his favor! where have i been harping on his age? some of the older guys like brady i mentioned i would consider more valuable than mcCoy RIGHT NOW, but since mcCoy is younger i gave him the benefit of the doubt.

the guy is a good back and he probably will be good for another 3 to 4 years. the patriots just picked up a guy off the scrap heap and won a super bowl with him as their main back in the post season. its not difficult to find RBs, and this draft is loaded with them. Philly has had a good offensive line and i am pretty sure they can find a serviceable back who will get 1000 to 1200 yards. melvin gordon will probably be available at #20 if they want to go that route.

you keep harping on this ranking of top 5 by the players. this is the NFL network rankings Im guessing? because from what Ive heard most of the players dont even know who the fuck voted on these rankings.

And it's the same one that lists Dez Bryant as the 6th best receiver in football.

    Sure Did...

But After the Season Dez had, There's a ZERO % Chance of Josh Gordon, AJ Green or Andre Johnson Being Ranked Higher on the 2015 List...

Who Knows Where Megatron will Rank, Given his Injury Plagued Season...

At the Absolute Worst, Dez Bryant will Be Ranked 3rd, 1 Whole Spot Lower than Where REED has Ranked him the Last 2 Years....

McCoy was a 2nd round pick himself. Obviously Kelly is going to shoot for a RB to replace McCoy in the draft that will cost a fraction of what he costs, and maybe take on 80% of the workload. Probably use the rest of the money to shore up in other areas.

I do feel bad for McCoy being stuck in Buffalo, but like others, am glad he's out of the NFC East.

Will this work out for Philly? Who the fuck knows. They've always been a team that's perpetually on the bubble. Not quite good enough to be great, and not quite bad enough to panic and have to blow the whole team up and start from scratch.

This Further Illustrates the IDIOCY of Trading Shady McCoy for an LB Coming Off ACL Surgery, STRAIGHT UP...

Jacksonville's Picking 3rd & Could Use an RB of Shady's Caliber...St. Louis has the 10th Pick & the Same Rule Applies...Trading Shady McCoy AND their 20th Slot Would've Been a VERY Attractive Carrot for Philadelphia to Dangle...

Instead, they've Basically GIVEN AWAY their Best Player w/Out Getting ANY Closer to the 1 Guy Chip Kelly Covets...

    DUMBASS Trade...
