Soooooooo, Feel Free to Make Broad, Sweeping Judgements About him @ Your Leisure, Just Know it's PREMATURE to Do So @ this Juncture...& Like REED Said, "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys, STILL Need to Address the QB Position @ Some Point...

You Make it Seem as if REED Pegged Manziel as a Day 1 Starter, TAKING Romo's Job for him, when REED Hasn't...

    From rotoworld....

ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi expects Josh McCown to be "unchallenged" as the Browns' starting quarterback.

With the Browns "aiming to control the ball on the ground" and not turn it over, Grossi believes the soon-to-be 36-year-old veteran is out well ahead of Johnny Manziel in what is unlikely to even be a competition. By all accounts, Manziel has been horrid the opening week of OTAs, not knowing where to go with the football and leaving the pocket too much, leading Grossi to think the Browns are "moving on" from Johnny Football. We're still three-plus months away from real games, but McCown seems to be comfortably out in front of Manziel.

But you just keep thinking Manziel will be something.

Nothing wrong with Tannehill. Plenty of good QB's have been on shit teams. Drew Brees has (6) .500 and under seasons on his resume. Fran Tarkenton has (10). Warren Moon is at .500 for his entire career. His record was waaaaaay worse then Tannehill's, his first 3 years in the league. Not comparing him to any of them, but good QB's don't just grow on trees.

Let's not forget the huge contracts that Matt Cassel and Matt Flynn got in the past, based on fill-in duty. They fooled everybody by being on very good teams to begin with.

You guys should be lucky to have him, with the shit show you've had in that position for the last 15+ years. Tannehill hasn't exactly had an All-Star corp of receivers either. 3 years of a young QB with solid numbers and not a lot of help around him. Durable despite high sack numbers. You wrap him up and start to build around him.

Here's what we DO Know; Mr. Johnathan Football DOMINATED the Best Conference in the Nation, the SEC, for 2 Years...

He's Started a Grand Total of 2 NFL Games...It's IDIOTIC to Pass Final Judgement on ANY QB after a Mere 2 Starts, Dude...

Lots of dominating college players don't do shit in the NFL. Manziel is one of them. He's barely hanging on to his roster spot, and just got out of rehab.

He doesn't have what it takes to succeed in the NFL. Like I've said, he's not even the second coming of Tim Tebow, he's the second coming of Pat White.

But you keep pulling for him.

REED's Still Mourning the Probability of Adrian Peterson NOT Playing for "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys, but Lamar Miller Wouldn't Be a Bad "Back-Up Plan" @ All...

Jerry Jones is Always Infatuated w/his Fellow Arkansas Alums, but as a Pro, Miller's Been More DURABLE than Darren McFadden's Ever Been...REED Likes Miller's Yards per Carry and the Fact he Gets in the End Zone Too...Playing Behind Dallas' O-Line, he Could Potentially Blossom into a Pro Bowl Caliber Back...

This is a Make or Break Season for McFadden & REED Isn't Terribly Optimistic about his Chances...As is, the Boys will Have the Ultimate Running Back by Committee Set-Up; McFadden Getting 15-18 Carries with Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar Sharing 8-10 btwn Themselves...

If Miller Were Thrown Into that Mix, Wouldn't Surprise REED @ All if he Proved to Be THE Best of the Lot...

He's Going to have to Take those Carries from McFadden, in Training Camp and Pre-Season....

Talk on the Street is, Jerry's Going to Give his Former Arkansas Alum EVERY Opportunity to be the Starter...

Randle Showed PROMISE in Limited Carries Last Year, but he Also Showed he's an Off the Field FUCK UP too...

I don't think McFadden has anything left in the tank. And even at his best, he was never great. I wouldn't be shocked if he's cut before the season ends. You could pull somebody else off the scrap heap like Chris Johnson or Steven Jackson who probably has more potential to do something. Those guys are washed up too, but they have more left than McFadden.

    agREED...

@ his Best, McFadden was a Downhill Runner w/ELITE Level Football Speed...Unfortunately, Upon Turning Pro, he Hasn't Shown the DURABILITY or ELUSIVENESS to Consistently Fight Through the Trenches, to Get PAST the Line of Scrimmage, PAST the Linebackers, the Secondary, to Utilize that Breakaway Speed...

& Now, what's to Say he Even HAS that Level of Speed Anymore???...

REED will ROOT For McFadden Because of the JERSEY He'll Be Wearing, but being Honest, REED'll Be PLEASANTLY Surprised by Anything POSITIVE Dude Brings to the Table...

That's how LOW REED's Expectations of him Are...

    49ers retirements this offseason:
    LB Patrick Willis
    LB Chris Borland
    DE Justin Smith
    OT Anthony Davis

Now, it'd be nice to add QB Colin K onto the list. :notallthere:

Seems a pretty safe contract for a proven young QB, especially compared to what others are getting paid.

Problem is, Seahawks will have to start gutting their team of salary and will lose a lot of depth, as was expected as soon as they had to start paying Wilson NFL starting QB money.

My guess is he'll restructure his contract from year to year like Tom Brady, to try and give his team a little more flexibility.

they are destined to lose talent to free agency due to the depth of their actual talent more than anything. already lost maxwell. we shall see if they continue to draft well to get cheap depth

Talk about reshaping a defense. Now Aldon Smith was cut for his 185th DUI or something.

Geno Smith got suckerpunched and got a broken jaw and is out for 6-10. They cut the player that hit him. Surprised he hasn't been arrested.
