I'm picking Bradley. Pac has gone right off the deep end with the God boy sewage. Boy's off his nut. Bradley is 1979 style. His dads a feral eyed headbanger and so is he. His choice in bird just makes him more intimidating. Once he's done training he's clearly so spent he doesn't give a fuck if the house is ablaze or a stank monster has rolled on and won't get off.
Pac will destroy Bradley. If Pacquiao can hit somebody repeatedly he will win. Can't see how Bradleys defence is good enough to stop or neutralize Pacs attack.
Marquez's skill level is far superior to Bradley's. I just don't see how Bradley can avoid Pac's punches. Unless he fights like Shane but i think he is too macho for that.
Judging by those terse comments about the 'pool hall', it sounds like he's been caught in some daliances. Drink, drugs & gambling, too. I'm picturing his wee old mother entering the scene - she's hurt & confused, doesn't understand the world available to him now, major culture clash. Think Tony Montana's mum x10.:: Your children, your children, I didnt raise you this way, Mr. big shot! Huge shame, inner conflict, pressure. Add in a local political image to maintain. What better (or even other) way to show he's a reformed character and heal his relationships. Line drawn, new Manny, praise Jesus All is not well. He must be under huge pressure....the contrast between his lifestyle and where he came from is just completely staggering.
Good point, probably something like this. I agree with your second statement too, it's quite bizarre really.
I watched the first 24/7 earlier, and is it just me or does Pacquiao look fucking tiny, like smaller than he has done since Oscar? I guess it's a product of him not having been to the gym in 5 months, I dunno, lack of PEDs too perhaps. He's always looked small as a welter obviously, but since Hatton he's looked pretty beefy, and has frame has looked quite filled out and solid. But now his arms and torso look much smaller. Braddles is funny. He doesn't strike me as the bad boy, bully type in school.
He's definitely softer than I've ever seen him, that always makes a guy look smaller (even with the same amount of muscle). Might just be that
That must be part of it, I guess. Solid, defined muscles can give the impression of extra mass, over just smooth softness. But looking at some of the padwork they showed with his top off, damn, his arms, shoulders, chest etc, just looked fucking small, I mean they must measure less now. I'd be very interested in how much he weights right now, or rather in that 24/7 episode.
I am openly rooting for Bradley here. I just watched the last 24/7 and I am completely disgusted by Manny. My takeaway from this new found religion thing is precisely what his flunky "personal videoagrapher" said..."we are his disciples." And by "his" he meant Manny. Also, did you notice on the screen when Manny "led" bible study the "Pacman Bible Study" picture? Manny's in gloves with his back to the camera arms outstretched like Jesus on the cross. As much as I hate Floyd, that shit offends me way more than the crap Floyd has done. I hope Manny loses badly and brutally. Now I'm going to sit and wait for the Pactards to defend him.
I agree it was pretty vile, hideous, and creepy. Not sure about being worse than Floyd, I mean Floyd seems like a total cunt, and has slapped women around and stuff. But yeah, I try to seperate the fighter from the person, but I can't deny this new Jesus Freak thing has dampened by Pacquiao fandom a bit :: Just curious, why does it offend you exactly? Are you a staunch Christian? I'm not religious, so I just find it creepy and offputting, but I wouldn't go as far as to say offensive.
I'm not a uber-Christian Bible thumper but I also carry a healthy distaste for anyone who considers themselves God-like. I'm certain in manny's simplistic mind he views himself and his purpose on this earth to serve God as a "phophet" etc. We've seen what idiots like Jim Jones and David Koresh did when having the same kind of complex. Not that Manny would go that far...it's just weird and ridiculous.
Bradley would have to sue to get away from Top Rank in order to get a fight with Floyd. Plus, he'd have to beat Manny twice. I'm sure there will be a whole host of excuses... Manny left his bible at the weigh-in.... Ariza wouldn't go to nightly prayer meetings... Freddie refused to start a Pray For Parkinson's prayer group... Jinkee wasn't baptized in time...Manny was pressed into action and did it minutes before his ring walk and he forgot to use the baptism water as his first mouth rinse between rounds... They'll make an excuse despite Manny being as "focused as ever."
I don't understand. Manny was a devout catholic. How the fuck you turn from one religion to the other?
This is more evidence that his head is not on the Bradley fight anymore: Last February, the boxer told ABS-CBN News that his next fight may be his last. Last week he spoke with Filipino radio station DZMM about God telling him to stop boxing in a dream. "I will not stay long in boxing because he said, 'You have done enough. You have made yourself famous but this is harmful," Pacquiao said.
I think Braddles is being a bit underrated. Sure he's not as good as Pacquiao, but for 2 fights in a row Pacquiao hasn't really looked like Pacquiao, and I think Bradley might be the perfect guy to exploit a Pacquiao who has not only slowed down a bit, but whose heart is not really in it. One thing's for sure and that's Bradley is going to go all out for the win, I'm confident of that. I'm not sure if this version of Pacquiao still has the fighting spirit to do the same. But obviously there is a chance he'll just have too much firepower for Bradley.
The worst thing about Manny losing to Bradley, will be the PBF apologists. It will be somehow be interpreted as positive evidence that.....
