What a great fight this would have been, but who do you think wins and how?

I like Pryor at 140, with considerable difficulty obviously... but I can't see Floyd being able to offset that tremendous offensive output enough... P4P, I'd rank FLoyd higher, but as great as Floyd is, I think at 140 he has to keep a more measured pace to do what he does so well... Pryor would make that impossible... Good, close fight though

The more I see of Pryor, the more I see him being too much to handle for floyd.

I think Floyd would take it. Pryor is a bit overrated, imo.

I think Pryor is the one guy who would be all wrong for Floyd.

A bit? On this forum, he's second only to Superman

That said, he would give Mayweather a terrific battle --- but a losing one. It would be really fun to watch the adjustments in this bout --- both from Pryor, & Mayweather. One guy is just a little better in one too many areas in the end, though.

    Mayweather, close UD.

People look at the 140 division Pryor ruled, which was fairly pedestrian, and conclude he doesn't deserve to be cosidered a great fighter.

I disagree... it's like Bob Foster's 175... sure, Foster has basically one good opponent at 175 (Pierre Fourie, a fine fighter who just wasn't able to get past Foster and later Victor Galindez) ... but Foster ruled his division with impunity, he was absurdly dominant... I look at Pryor's reign in a similar vein... he beat the crap out of his competition... People say Cervantes was old and ready to be taken, but other than Pryor, who at that time would have dethroned him? And Pryor did so in pretty spectacular fashion... Cervantes wasn't shot, per se... he was the champ, he was older, fading, but cold still fight, his very next fight he knocked out a top ten guy in Blackmoore, he won three straight after that and then lost a decision and retired, but he wasn't some shot guy unable to throw or take punches, Pryor beat him up... Was Alexis Arguello the same at 140 as he had been at 130 or even 135? No, he wasn't... but again, I ask, what Junior Welterweight in the world, other than Pryor, would you have beating him at that time? Two fights, Pryor beat him up in both fights... when you factor in the other obvious strengths of "The Hawk"- his ridiculous stamina, toughness, power, and most importantly his utterly unique combination punching (5 and 6 punch salvos I have not seen anyone else throw) it's hard for me to understand how people can see him as anything other than a formidable, forboding fighter that could hang with pretty much any 140 pound man in history... Pryor was the goods, in my opinion

I dont know who on this forum doesnt consider Pryor a great fighter...the problem, if anything, is that hes over-estimated.

Pryor would be too much for PBF. Not that PBF would fight him.
