    :laugh11:

Is the one at around 2:10 perhaps the worst stoppage ever?

I thought they were all excellent, well timed stoppages. The human head isn't built to withstand such force.

It's a Crystal CLEAR Case of DUCKage, in REED's Opinion...

Kovalev Fought On 2-3 Stevenson Undercards, IN CANADA No Less, for the Sole Purpose of Building & Eventually GETTING a Fight w/Adonis...Team Stevenson Had EVERY Bit of Leverage in Potential Negotiations w/Kovalev, yet they CHOSE to Bypass What Would've Been a VERY Easy Fight to Make, Going to a Rival Network, All But Removing ANY Likelihood of the Bout Transpiring???...

    Sorry, but That's Called DUCKING...

Agreed, it's as blatant a case of ducking as you can get in boxing.

    I disagree

As said earlier, Stevenson had a better offer to fight on showtime, and he said he'll fight the winner of the kov-hopkins fight.

Both Kov and Stevenson have been at the front of the scene for only bout a year. it's way too early to talk about ducking. If the fight doesn't happens next year, then i'll agree that it's a case of duck job

Stevenson could fight Kovalev in six months and he still ducked him. He "did" duck him. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether or not anyone will even care if Kovalev fights Stevenson or not.

If Hopkins wins, presumably he and Stevenson will fight (if Stevenson takes the short end of the stick).

If Kovalev beats hopkins, who the fuck cares if he fights Stevenson or not? I won't care particularly. It'd be an interesting match up but certainly not one Kovalev should bend over backwards to make at that point. And I think fans would understand. So the only way it gets made is if again Stevenson takes short money.

Arguably, Stevenson didn't just duck kovalev. He also ducked hopkins. Which begs the question. Who the fuck cares what he does at this point? I guess if you're Canadian you may be clamoring for Stevenson vs. Pascal. But clearly Stevenson is going to find himself having to take short money against someone if he hopes to reclaim his credibility, either by fighting Hopkins or kovalev.

If REED isn't Mistaken, Hopkins-Kovalev was Made BECAUSE of How Unreasonable Stevenson was to Negotiate with.

exactly. So Stevenson didn't just duck kovalev. He also ducked hopkins. So why the fuck is he in the sport? I mean. We all know the answer because we're intimately aware of all of boxing's perverse incentives and the reality that Stevenson ' s anti-competitive and vaginal approach to the sport could actually pay off in the end. But sticking to common sense and a naive appreciation of the sport? Why the fuck is Stevenson even in boxing if he's not going to participate?

My guess is haymon had much to do with Stevenson avoiding Hopkins. The guy signed with haymon to avoid kovalev and damn near lost to that fella fanfare tho so he can't be at absolved for that bout never materializing

the hell is that bullshit about Stevenson ducking Hopkins. The fight was all but made, and Hopkins decided to fight Kovalev (for less money iirc) instead. Probably cause he deemed him an easier foe

what you guys dont seem to understand is that Kovalev is pretty much an unknown outside of hardcore fan and is still unproven at the world level (no Nathan Clerverly doesn't cut it). Making the fight that soon would have been akin to opening an aged wine for a pizza dinner. If Kovalev beat hopkins, the fight will become way bigger than it was ,and if he lost to Hopkins, who care about Kovalev it would show that he wasn't as good as people thought. What's unfortunate is that Stevenson is fighting such a garbage opponent. I really dont understand this fight. He should have went for a Pascal fight, it would have been a perfect way to build an unification fight.

Anyway, the next year will pretty much shows if Stevenson is willing to face top opposition or if he's milking his title.

BTW it's funny how people on this site act like Pascal is a bum and treat Hopkins ilike an elite level fighter, considering that if the ref didn't fucked up, and called the second KD in the first fight, Pascal would have beaten Hopkins (fairly), and that Pascal win over Bute pretty much trumps any hopkins victory since their fights . At this point in their career, Pascal is a better fighter and more dangerous fighter than Hopkins (Even though Hopkins will probably always beat Pascal from now on, since he basically mind raped him, in the second fight, and I doubt Pascal would have the mental fortitude to overcame this)
