I'm in the minority but I think Broner wins this. Garcia is better skilled and the better overall fighter.

    "HOWEVER"

I think Broner will have a size and strength advantage Mikey can't overcome.

Both guys have had weight issues and I think even Broner struggling to make 140, will mean he'll be closer to 160 by the opening bell. Garcia will be much softer in the mid-section I think. I'm not sure the skill advantage wins this matchup.

Funny that you bump this thread today, Muzse. I was actually gonna post in it and say...

I've given this matchup more thought, and I feel I wrote off AB too easily.

I admit, I've underestimated the fact that Broner is by FAR Mikey's best opponent to date and also Garcia's biggest opponent. I've also underestimated that Broner has never lost to a SMALLER man.

It's a lot easier to counter slow stiffs like Rocky Martinez and guys like that than a guy like Broner who actually has a bit of ability.

I'm still picking Garcia, but my INITIAL reaction was this was Garcia without hesitation... I've rethought it and admit I was trippin.

This is actually a really compelling matchup, and Broner upset isn't outta the question.

IFFF Garcia stops Broner.... then I'd sell one of my nuts to see Crawford-Garcia.

Uh, when maidana beat him he was undefeated. He's since lost multiple fights. Why would you even make 6that comparison? This is a poor move on the part of Garcia's mgmt.

The Montonegran midget Garcia KO'd in his last fight was better than anyone Broner has beat in recent memory.

Still, a win over Broner at this stage is a lot different than beating him at the point Maidana did. No denying that.

Anyways, you have already said Broner is a bum and Garcia couldn't possibly lose this fight.

the only weight issue for garcia will be fighting a 160lb guy. 140 should be a good weight for him

Also Broner is tougher than his hippity hop persona would suggest. He took a hellacious beating from Maidana and saw the final bell and he survived Porter

I give him credit for taking the Maidana beating, but not for Porter.

He fought in survival mode against Porter for 11 rounds.

His performance against Porter was totally unbecoming of a professional fighter... After that, all respect for Broner has been lost for me.

Who knows which Broner will turn up considering his current state of mind (he threatened commiting suicide not too long ago). If he's on, this should be a very good fight but I'd still favor Garcia (but he'll have to work hard to overcome the size disadvantage).

Garcia has too much skill for Broner. I see Garcia by KO.

He will pick Broner apart before the KO.

I hope this super-talented Adrien Broner surfaces some time soon, I've heard a lot about the guy, sounds like one hell of a fighter.

the one thing I don't like about Garcia is his lack of head movement. His head is always stationary and straight up in the middle of everything he does...it's almost like tee ball.

I can't see how Broner doesn't hurt him with counters...especially the left hook.

Garcia is technically sound offensively but he gets hit far too cleanly and more importantly I don't recall him being one for rolling with shots...he takes the full brunt of the punch. Not sure he can afford to do that against Broner.

agREED on Garcia Not Moving His Head All That Much, but he DOES Parry Shots Pretty Good w/his Gloves and Arms...

Of Bigger Concern, in REED's Opinion, is WHAT Broner Does About Garcia's Jab???...Garcia Jabs Up and Downstairs, Changes Speeds on the Jab, While Broner All But NEGLECTS his Own Jab...

If Broner Can't Neutralize Mikey's Jab, his Ass is TOAST...

Expect Garcia to start fast in this fight. Robert has said Maidanas strategy was to start was because Broner is a slow starter. The main difference here is that Garcia is a better finisher than Chino and when he hurts AB, he will finish him.

We will see. Unless Garcia only throws jabs I don't see how Broner will have that much of a problem with him. Mikey could very well outwork him but the more he comes straight at Broner the better it is for Broner. Garcia isn't a physical fighter who will stay in broner's chest and make him uncomfortable like Porter did.

Stylistically I think this is a bad matchup for Garcia. It'll be interesting to see if Broner's able to counter him early and make him gunshy about letting his hands go. If that happens its all downhill for Mikey.

"Like I said before" Garcia has history in not making weight and/or having trouble making weight so some of the advantages he had over other guys should be gone against Broner. Unless Broner is completely wasted due to losing weight the wrong way, I see a good fight but one he ultimately wins.

Garcia is a more sound fighter, just don't see him overcoming Broner's size. Both have the same amount of experience. Mikey's most recent wins have come against guys coming up or being above their optimal weight...those fights made him seem more viscious than he could be at this weight. If he hits Broner flush and noting happens...then what?

Lastly, this fight will happen nearly a year to the day since Mikey returned from a two year layoff and Broner will be better and bigger than those previous two guys.

The BULK of Garcia's Work is Done Off the Jab...REED'll Even Go On Record Saying Broner's NEVER Seen a Better Jab, in an Actual Fight...

Mikey will Definitely Throw/Land More Punches...Broner's NEVER Had a High Workrate to Begin w/...

Totally agREED on Broner's SIZE and POWER Being Threats to Mikey, but Every Other Edge Goes to Garcia, in REED's Opinion...He's Got More TOOLS, more Waaaaaaaaaaaaays to Win this Fight...

Will Be VERY Interesting Watching it Play Out...The Fact there's DEBATE About the Outcome Validates how LEGIT this Fight Is...No Matter WHO Comes Out Victorious Saturday Night, the Ultimate Winner is Boxing Fans...

Alright... my final prediction is: Garcia by late stoppage.

I think Broner will do well early. I even think he'll hurt or possibly drop Garcia. But I can't help but think that eventually Mikey adjusts, AB fades, and Garcia lands with greater accuracy as the fight progresses. He eventually drops Broner hard, AB gets up badly hurt, and Mikey puts him away.

    Garcia TKO 10.

There's Rumored to Be a Penalty as STEEP as $500,000 for Broner Being Overweight...

Not Sure if That's PER Pound or Total, if Even Factual....
