Cottos mini-marathon late on has people asking themselves questions about Cotto, and the answers ain't nice. So its Collazo and holding all the way for these fuckers. You know who you are.:nono: :nono: Stay panicked, I like you that way.

If you listen to the bitter Hatton-haters, that's all he does is clinch and hold. He managed to beat and stop a long time reigning champ in Tszyu (making his face look like a racoon that had been run over) just by simply wrestling. He was able to stop the guy who gave Fraud his toughest fight of his career in under four rounds by simply grappling. He wins every damn round againd Urango and it's all because of holding. He domintes all punch stat numbers plus scores a knockdown against Collazo and supposedly he's "owned."

But why are you making a connection between Hatton and Cotto???? Admit it....you are desperate for Hatton to lose cos you KNOW in your heart of hearts that Hatton is bad news for Miguel.:nono: :nono: :nono:

Its fucking Freudian!!!! I hold up a picture of Cotto backpedalling against old Man Mosley and I ask these plebs "what do you see"...and they answer "Hatton will lose to Mayweather"...........its unreal!!!

Like I said. I felt Cotto would beat Hatton before tonight. NOW? I really think Cotto will beat Hatton. Especially since Hatton's foray into 147 had him running right back to 140 with his tail between his legs.

But of course, compubox numbers show Hatton should have been proud. Right Cal?

Hell I didn't bring it up first. I was just responding to somebody else mentioning Hatton so I commented on it too.

Why are there people asking themselves "so many questions" about Cotto?

I never thought he was out of control or "running" or surviving...and matter of fact, he won two out of those last four rounds being more effective fighting off the back foot than Mosley was coming forward.

Cotto was using defense, the ropes, and counter shots and an effective jab. And in spots in those last 4, he would still stand center-ring and fight.

Having rewatched it, he was in control of himself and looked fine (as fine as one could be after a fight like that).

What a great fight that was.

I don't get the point about holding and the Hatton connection.

    Peace.

Its just Hatton groupies trying to deflect the critisism from their fighter to another. Bottom line Cotto just fought in a FOTY contender and that fight was much better then any Hatton holdfest.

    Agreed.
Hatton's 'holding' is the only loophole that the haters have.

    Yup indeedy...

The only thing peeps can really cling to is the Collazo fight, a fight which, despite being nowhere near his best, he took 'away from home', he still won, he scored a (the only) knockdown and became a two weight world champion.

What a fucking bum he must be...:dunno:

nonsense donny, cotto's best defense was shane's slowed timing and reflexes due to age. granted cotto did what he had to do to win under those circumstances but lets not go overboard and act like that was some sort of cotto prefight strategy. cotto was avoiding a direct confrontation and managed to slip through shots because shane was moving forward and not really letting his hands go...even shane's father was asking shane what was he waiting for.

Thats because there is none. Hatton and Cotto probably won't fight ever anyway and if they did that fight has to be analyzed seriously..... hard fight to pick maybe in another thread?
