cupey, you can make people register for free, and ask them to send news through email. That way you can charge your newsletters with sponsors and get some money going into your pocket.
I think it's pretty funny Cupey started a thread titled "DO YOU WANT TO CO-OWN FIGHTBEAT?", put conditions on prospective buyers questions...................and then locked it and neglected to sticky it. GOING, GOING, GONE! ::
yep, kind of like announcing Mayweather-Hatton tickets going on sale, only to never release any tickets (although he has since stickied it)
I'm glad I did my part. :bears: but now it's no longer funny. :nono: Damn you straight to hell Carlos.
Jake: I see BScene is way in front of ESPN's boxing page...this might sound silly, but do we have (as a site and possibly individually) as many or more readers than Dandy?
As a site yes. Individually - until there's a demand for one (or both, or all) of us to do a weekly chat, I'm gonna say no.:: Viewership is definitely picking up, though. I received more e-mails from this week's column than for any other piece I've ever written. And this week's piece wasn't anything particularly great (not that anything I write is, but relatively speaking...)
I got a quite a bit this week as well and it kind of sucked because the Pavlik stuff I had was way better than the headline stuff. I was all proud of myself for asking creative questions at the presser. haha
I swear the best article I've written since joining b-scene was the Tuesday after Floyd-GLH. But it went completely unnoticed, as it stayed on the home page for a total of 90 minutes, before being replaced with news of Chico killing himself.
it really makes no difference fellas. FightBeat will eventually run your site out of business anyway. WAR FIGHTBEAT
