My thoughts as well. But AT THE SAME TIME, I also can't get the image of Lamont Peterson lighting up Garcia in the later rounds out of my mind, and how much Peterson's movement bothered Garcia, while remembering that Thurman is a different level fighter than Peterson.

Which is why, this is essentially a 50-50 fight.

I'd be very very surprised if Garcia wins this one. I think Thurman is the clear favorite

I dunno why it'd be surprising. Thurman ain't exactly a prime Hagler in terms of quality. The guy is beatable.

He ain't, but I think he's a superior fighter than Garcia, and that his style is all wrong for him

I think he APPEARS to be a superior fighter, but we won't know for sure until March 4. If I had confidence in Thurman's durability, I'd say he's the commanding favorite... but I don't, therefore it's not hard to envision Danny stopping him.

Thurman is rightfully the favorite though, by virtue of the fact that he has more impressive performances as of late, and he's the naturally bigger man. But I dunno why in the world Danny winning would be surprising. Thurman isn't good enough that him getting beat by any top fighter should be a surprise.

thurman has faced better comp more recently than garcia, but in doing so he has certainly appeared vulnerable. he just barely beat porter.

Barely beat Porter my ass. That grappling scrub won 4 rounds.

Porter is shit, get over it.

No revisionist history here. I said on here the moment the fight was over that I had Thurman winning clearly.

He landed by far the cleaner, more effective punches throughout.

Porter is an ineffective, grappling scrub who tries to fight like Aaron Pryor, but can't do so because he has no talent, so he resorts to NFL tactics.

I'm not even sure Garcia beats Porter to be honest. Also, we have to keep in mind that Thurman beat porter a lot more impressively than Brooks did

neither of those things mean anything, imo. if garcia beats thurman he does not get to add all of the guys thurman beat to his resume.

Garcia is a better fighter than Porter.

Porter has the ring IQ of a fly.

    Garcia actually thinks in there.

If you're confident in picking Thurman, then you have to be confident in Thurman being able to seriously hurt Garcia. If he can, Danny's in trouble, cause Thurman will hit him often.

If his chin can handle Thurman's power, and he's ballsy enough to stay in the pocket and throw with Thurman, then I think he'll catch Keith.

As I said before, the Judah fight makes me pretty confident in my pick. Garcia was looking very good cutting the ring, but once he got hurt, he stopped doing it and lost the last few rounds. I expect Thurman to hurt Garcia early, and to dominate aterward

True. Only pointing out that barely beating Porter is not a negative. I think Porter is very good and very hard to beat.

I think if anybody is stopped, it's Thurman. Garcia is pretty durable and has shown a good chin. I question Thurman's chin and durability.
