Why has Lex Luthor got to be in every Superman film?!! And Lois Lane. Change the record.

That's what I said. Doomsday was first introduced in the infamous 'Death of Superman' comicbook. Will he kill Supe here? I doubt it. And, look, they were fighting each other and immediately teamed-up when Doomsday attacked Batman!

It looks like they are making him young and immature, and he will grow up as the DC universe expands. That's what guessing anyways

What...are you some sort of anti-establishment, non-conformist, heavily tattooed and pierced, LGBT loving, tree hugging liberal or something? TRADITION is good! Stick with the formula! What next...change Superman's suit?

Hahahaha, no I'm not. There are plenty of villains Supes can take on. I'm not for changing his suit, but times change.

The reason i say that is because DC is trying to build their universe like Marvel. Marvel has plans ten years down the line. So they might be wanting to make Lex young and eventually mature into the role very similar to the smallville lex.

What made Reeves so perfect was how cleancut he looked, imo. If you're gonna be a guy who's more powerful than God you need to look OVERLY nice to make anyone identify/root for you i think. Reeves had the square jaw, big frame etc to pull off the thing while being totally convincing as a guy who who would take time out to climb up a tree to get a little girls kitten or some shit.

I loved how Michael Rosenbaum played the Lex Luthor role. John Glover was also excellent as Lex's Father.

It's as if they sat Reeve down in a chair, sketched his face on to paper and created the comic. The similarity in looks is incredible!

Cause the WB suits who green lighted the follow up film didn't had an idea what a 'Brainiac' is and said 'what was the name of that goofy villain that Gene Hackman played and audiences loved so much in the Christopher Reeve films? Lex Luthor? Okay bring him here, but made him look and act like Heath Ledger's Joker without make-up!' :crafty:

Kevin Spacey was terrible as Lex. I just didn't like how he played the character. Actually, that film was just awful as a whole.

James Marsters played Brainiac in Smallville. Did anyone think he was any good? I thought he did a pretty good job.

I quite liked the New Adventures of Superman. Teri Hatcher always looked sooooo good in that series.

Was Lex bald in the comics? Again, referring to Smallville, a young Lex ran in to the cornfields as the meteorite hit the town, causing a shockwave which made him lose his hair. Lex's Father finds him laying on the ground with only a small patch of hair remaining on his head. Lionel looks down upon his son with a look of disgust on his face.

Not sure if initially he was, but for the most part he's been represented as bald, but the best version of Luthor is tall, uber intelligent, well spoken and well dressed, in shape. Not the stupid crazy eccentric and frail character played on screen most of the time which resembles Mr. Burns.

Yeah, and that's why I HATED Spacey's character so much.

Tom Hiddleston (who played Loki in Thor), springs to mind immediately for me as someone who could be a great Lex Luthor.
