I'd say The Prestige.

I have yet to see Dunkirk though.

 

Inception. Entirely original concept and movie. I love the Prestige but just found out it was a book adaptation.

 

What does it matter if its based off a book?

The consensus best movie of all time (The Godfather) is based off a book.

 

Inception, although I haven't seen Interstellar nor Dunkerque.

 

Inception is one which I can watch over and over.

Great movie.

 

I love them both but I choose to give more credit to an original concept in this instance because it was 50/50 for me. I'm not saying Inception is better than the Godfather either.

 

Fair enough.

 

I'm one of the few who didn't "get" inception. I found it to be a convoluted mess.

My pick is Batman Begins.

 

The Dark Knight.

All the Nolan films are way overrated anyway.

1. I agree with your first point. I'm all for a smart/complex movie, but Inception just tried tooooo hard. That's why The Prestige is so brilliant. Great story, great acting, great twists, but easy to follow and not trying to go overboard. The brilliant combined performances of Bale/Jackman/Caine puts the The Prestige on another level from Inception, which had no stand-out performances.

2. WTFF? I mean you're entitled to your opinion, but you're pretty much the only one who thinks BB is better than TDK.

 

Yeah I know I'm in the minority here. I loved TDK but I loved BB even more. Absolutely love that first film.

 

The Interstellar film is like the Titanic film. You can chop the whole front section off the film to make it better. Last time I watched Interstellar I ffw’d it to the part where McConaughey blasted off into space and started the movie right there.

Batman Begins is just less over-the-top and overrated than The Dark Knight, which, Heath Ledger's The Joker aside, takes it down to a 6/10.
People were giving this fuckin movie 9/10 before it even got released....

Batman Begins is a solid 7.5/10 throughout...

 

Ohhh, I agree that TDK is overrated. But BB is pretty underwhelming.

 

I honestly don't know how anyone can say that...it was fantastic. The whole first act with Bruce Wayne training in the mountains with the league of shadows and then betraying them was great. The creation of batman. Liam neeson, Rutger Hauer, scarecrow were all excellent villains, I can't say enough about it. I'm surprised I'm in the minority in thinking it's the best of the trilogy
