I loved that film growing up, I watched it again recently though and it hasn't aged well at all.

Annie Fucking Hall #3??? That shitty movie wasn't even funny! Is not even the funniest Woody Allen movie for crying out loud!

That was a terrible list to be honest. You guys have mentioned far more deserving films that were not in the list (how could they forgot Ferris Bueller Day Off or Wayne's World or The Naked Gun or Young Frankenstein?) Heck even Kentucky Fried Movie was funnier than many films in that list!

I just fucking hate that movie. After it won the Best Picture Oscar in 1977 I watched it as it was my tradition back in the day to watch all Best Picture nominees & winners. I couldn't believe how unfunny and uninteresting that movie was. I used to like Woody Allen earlier films (Get The Money and Run, Bananas, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex, Play it Again Sam, Sleeper), but this one really didn't do it for me. I think he was awarded only because of his career and because like Brando he refused to attend the ceremony.

I didn't smirk once. Allen had done the neurotic failed lover way too many times for my taste and Diane Keaton character wasn't appealing at least to me. I couldn't care about these two characters one bit so why should I care about their doomed relationship?

    It's definitely up there.

What's crazy is, a lot of ppl consider it the best movie by the Coen brothers.

I'm sorry, but if you consider The Big Lebowski better than Fargo, No Country For Old Men, Millers Crossing, and Blood Simple, you should never be allowed to view another movie.

    TBL is fucking garbage.

I thought Big Lebowski was really funny. Goodman is brilliant in it. And Buscemi and Bridges are both great. But I'm not going to make an Xplosivesque statement condeming anyone who dares to have a different point of view than mine.

The Big Lebowski is a funny movie and I don't mean funny like ha ha or like a clown here to amuse you. I mean it's funny because I think only half the people "get it". I'm that way with Fargo, because as much as I hated Fargo, seeing the constant high praise it continually gets I realize I must not have gotten it.

I got TBL and thought it was good. Those who hate it probably just didn't get it. They'll never admit as much though, they'd much rather continue to bash it as being unfunny and or boring rather than believe the possibility of something being over their head.
