Grebs resume has got to be based on beating the shit out of a guy who beat Jack Dempsey.

Sad that we don't have any video of Greb fighting. He looked absolutely atrocious in the training vids we have of him, but he probably was only fooling around

But for me Greb has to be penalised for fighting in the White Boys Only era. Yeah he fought Flower, but he lost pretty decisively

I'm not even taking into account whether Greb translates to a more modern era... that's irrelevant to the discussion (I'd doubt he'd be much of a threat to later fighters) ... if you were at all relevant and weighed between 150 and 190 pounds over like a 10 year period, you probably lost to Harry Greb at least once... the guy fought and beat practically every fighter of any repute to be found during his peak years ... his resume is nuts

Greb did indeed fight them all from what I hear.

I know of a really good resume in the modern era that no one seems to give any respect to.

Now I cant confirm these reports but legend has it that this guy apparently retired after 50-0...and fought and beat the best fighters in his era at 130 (some guy called "Chico"), 135 (Some guy who's name is abbreviated to "JLC"), 140 (Apparently "there's only one" of this guy) , 147 (various names) and 154 (some unbeaten red head apparently and previously some pretty boy that prefers women's stockings). They say he won titles at all these weights too....even beating all the linear champs.

And get this: Allegedly...this guy was victorious in approximately 30 championship fights as well. Staggering.

Of course it sounds implausible, but as I said, such is the legend. Just like the legend of Greb we have to take it on faith.

Lol I'm starting to think Sly's account has been hacked by Leonard Ellerbe.

I heard a rumor once also - I heard there was once a fighter who went around calling himself the best ever, when some people questioned if he was even the best of his generation. He shared the same prime as the other fighter in the question for the title of generation's best, but was too chickenshit to fight a prime version of that fighter at the time the world wanted to see it. So, he waited for five years, until that fighter had slipped, aged, and gotten KO'd.... then decided it was the right "time" to fight him.

He then followed-up that heroic move up by fighting a man from another sport who was making his pro debut just for the purpose of stealing money and grabbing win #50.

    Yup, truly a legend...

If Sly is doing all this dick riding in an effort to receieve Floyd's recognition, then his efforts are for naught... Floyd can't read his posts.

....and then bitching out when the man from another sport asks him to match him by following him into his arena.

    word.

It was an obvious troll job with my humour. People here hate Mayweather and they expect me to "nuthug".

Of course there's much truth to what I said...but this topic is purely about beaten fighters....not about other accomplishments and in terms of beaten fighters specifically ..Floyd is not the GOAT. He's not anywhere near as bad as advertised though.

Much truth. Much like the truth that you want to call Floyd Mr Fahrenheit while he makes a supersonic man out of you.

Pacquiao. His resume is out of this word. Even past his prime losing to Floyd adds to his resume.

I can't find any footage but I never read that he lost decisively and apparently he also had a bad nose going into the fight, and the operation to "fix" it got him killed. A lot of fighter died that way. Pancho Villa died under the knife for a bad tooth. Maybe somebody wanted rid of them.

This is a fool errand, since there's no footage of any Greb fight

I figured he already knew and just meant to use a different term than footage but yeah, for those who don't already know Harry Greb fight film is kind of a holy grail of boxing.
