Fair enough, but in addition to his fame, Gatti has many title fights and wins in those fights.

 

I guess you can justify Gatti being in based on how many big and memorable fights he gave the sport. It's hard to begrudge him, he made his mark

I admired him as a legit tough guy with a good punch in the ring who would take on anyone at anytime, but that's where it starts and stops.

 

How do u think you would have fared against gatti in the gym karl? Lets say around the time he fought at 140 when he was really 160 and you at your peak?

 

I would have nailed him with some good hooks to the body and right hands to the head, catching him coming in.

He'd most likely win with a body shot as he could hook to the floating rib and liver like no other fighter since Chavez.

It would be like Frazier - Quarry 2, with Arturo being Frazier and winning in three rounds as he would similarly walk me down and break me up in a slug fest.

Ok, I am a longtime Gatti detractor... The guy was not anywhere near a great fighter, he wasn't even very good... He was very carefully matched and still went life and death almost every single time out

Marlen is fighting tonight in the PAL Championships in Oxnard.

As I indicated to the owners here: I am going to bring on board a former three time world champion in the future here.

But the FIRST TIME an asshole types shit here like these two little jealous parasites that follow me around here before this post did, that will be the first time and THE LAST TIME that happens as the deal will then will be off the table and the champion will not return here for any further interaction with the fans.

There are gonna be over twenty fights and she is the last one in ring one for the day.

She is fighting against Ginny Fuchs (pronounced foo-shis, not the other way) after just barely getting by her in the national finals in Spokane earlier this year.

Ginny is a tough and skilled southpaw ranked only behind Marlen in the U.S. and has stopped four of her last 6 opponents, and she beat a girl I help train in the Houston Open Ring Nationals last month but only by tough decision.

This is going to be one hell of a fight, folks.

It is the last bout on the card in ring one, and hope you all tune in.

It should begin around midnight CST, but just keep monitoring the page as there are bound to be some terrific fights.

She was robbed in the finals of the World Combat Championships fighting a Russian in Russia, so she had to settle for the Silver.

According to the USA team coach, Marlen won three of the four rounds pretty convincingly.
