I got Ali. Ali isn't a big puncher, but he DOES hit a lot harder and sharper than Vargas, and he's a much better technician than Vargas and much quicker.
Bradley looked like he always does, solid and effective without looking brilliant at anything. He was hurt but still had his wits about him, he would have been fine
For me, it's his punch resistance... If Jessie Vargas can hurt him, I can't see him hanging with the likes of Spence, Brook, Thurman. He also looks slower. Against the top guys, he'll be exploited.
The FFH Provo fight is the fight that should have taken the most out of Braddles, but honestly I thought he looked good against Marquez and the Pacquiao rematch. In fact, I thought the Manny rematch was closer than the first fight, and Bradley did better. He's probably a little shopworn after the Pacquiao and Provo fights, but I don't think he's anywhere near shot, and I would pick him over Brook and possibly Thurman too.
If Brook or Thurman were nearly KOd by bum ass Vargas, the forum would be saying "Look at those glass chinned frauds." But because it's Bradley, it's "look how tough he is!" Bradley is ready to be taken by a good fighter. Even if Brook or Thurman aren't elite, theyre at least GOOD fighters with power. Both of them are SEVERAL levels better than Jesse Vargas.
Floyd, Thurman, Spence, and probably Crawford assuming he carried 147 well. I agree Braddles is not one.
Easier said than done, the only one who has been able to counter him successfully is Pacquiao, and he's on another level to Thurman and Brook. Bradley's weird, ugly, jerky style works in his favour, he's hard to time and predict.
Spence, Thurman and Floyd were the three I had in mind, but you can say those three plus Crawford if he, ahem, transitions well. ::
WTF are you talkin about? Vargas had success tagging him everytime he let his hands go. Buy Vargas is a sloth and fought like a bitch. Thurman and Brook both have above average handspeed, and if they catch Bradley right they're gonna seriously hurt him. Does Bradley in turn have the power to hurt them? No.
And Bradley has definitely lost quickness now. Watch him back in 09 when he beat Peterson and watch last night. There's a noticeable decline in quickness and reflex.
WTF are you talking about? Bradley dominated the fight. Brook had a close fight with a wild bum called Porter, his best opponent to date, where he looked average. Is Porter as good as Bradley? No.
Not at all, I don't even like watching Braddles fight and even listed him under fighters with the ugliest styles. But as ugly and unspectacular as he is, he can fight. I've always thought he was good, and respected his determination/toughness. Xplosive is the king of kneejerk reactions. Brook would beat Bradley because his best win is a close, lacklustre decision over a very average fighter called Shawn? Nah. Thurman is better than Brook, but there is also a flaky, Haye esque air about him. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Bradley just outgutted him and roughed him up for a decision win.
I think you let Cheerleader Lampley influence you too much. Bradley won clearly, but it was hardly a "domination". Vargas won about 3-4 rounds. Roughly the same amount of rounds as Porter won off Brook. This Brook vs Porter being a close fight theory is one of the most biased narratives on this forum. Brook beat Porter CLEAR AS DAY. Clear enough that the judges gave a UK fighter the decision over a G fighter who was fighting on his home term (U.S.). "Close fight" to me means a fight that coulda gone either way. There's NO ARGUEMENT for Porter winning the Brook fight. NONE. He got clearly outboxed. Now, I'm not trying to say that Brook is James Toney as a counter puncher, but he's a GOOD enough counter puncher that he'll catch Bradley in-between his sloppy combos with clean straight rights all night.
BTW, who's to say Bradley beats Porter? I don't think that's a guarantee. Bradley isn't a running/holding puta like Broner is. He'd fight Porter. And I dunno if that strategy favors Tim.
Nah, bro. Brook would beat the holy hell outta Bradley. He'd stop him late or win a clear decision. Thurman KOs him for sure. Bradley is out of his division. He needs to go back to 140.
Thurman just beat the living fuck outta Guerrero, winning every single round. And Guerrero is STILL what I'd consider a better fighter than Jesse Vargas. Jesse Vargas is a HORRIBLE fighter. If he had put Thurman on queer street, Thurman would be getting crucified right now. But he wouldn't put Thurman on Queer street, cause Thurman woulda knocked Vargas' bum ass out.
thurman may KO vargas, sure. vargas sucks. your claim that brook, thurman and spence would all KO bradley is absurb. bradley has never been knocked out, you have to kill the guy to stop him.
Timmy Bradley has looked impressive ONCE in the last 5 years - in outboxing a 40-year old Marquez who's legs looked like they were stuck in mud. He's been given a pass on that ONE good performance I see. Cause other than that he's done nothing besides lose clearly to Pac twice, BARELY BARELY beat Provo, look like shit in a draw to Diego Chaves (same Chaves who Thurman destroyed), and beat Jeese Vargas in a fight where he nearly got stopped at the end. Yeah, Bradley's some killer....
Perhaps I jumped the gun on stop. Although, I DO honestly believe Spence has the talent to stop him. Thurman and Brook will seriously hurt Bradley enough times to secure a win on the cards. He can't just wing away at them like he did feather fist Vargas.
If Bradley DOES fight Sadam Ali next, I'm calling it right now that Ali will pull the upset and outbox him. Ali is a good/sharp enough counter puncher to exploit Timmy's sloppiness.
You mean bradley ' s not a holding puta like brook is? Because holding is precisely how brook was able to beat porter.
