Back to DAZN he goes. Looks like those "Al Haymon checks off all my events" are drying up.

So, that narrows it down to only two. Canelo will face either Munguia or Berlanga in May, then he'll fight the other in September. Probably looking at Munguia in May, and Berlanga in Sept.

Stunning that he refuses to face Benavidez.

A Berlanga win puts him above Chavez, Olivares, and Sanchez for sure.

It's official: He picked Munguia. May 4th.

Bumlanga will probably sit on the sidelines until September and wait for his cash out.

I'd be very surprised if he picks Berlanga. Canelo opposition hasn't been all that lately, but he usually takes on proven, near elite fighter. And Berlange simply doesnt fit the bill

Doesn't fit the bill of the guy who fought Rocky Fielding, eh?

Munguia's gonna need that solid chin he apparently has.

How did he manage to get out of the contract if they had the financial backing to meet his contractual minimum for the specified opponents?

Your Canelo hate is getting out of control. That fight was more than 5 years ago, when canelo was fighting beast after beast, and was just 3 months after the 2nd ggg fight. Current canelo doesn't fight as often, so i really doubt he waste his time with berlanga

PBC decided not to pay for Canelo's "festival of bums" retirement roadshow.

It has nothing to do with what I feel about Canelo. Hearn already said with high confidence that Canelo vs Berlanga will happen this year. Hearn is obviously privy enough to the DAZN arrangement and has enough influence on that arrangement that he has insider info that Berlanga is next after Munguia.

Who do you think Canelo will face after Munguia? It can't be Benavidez or Morrell, they're with PBC. It won't be Diego Pacheco, as Pacheco's people wouldn't rush him into a Canelo fight this early in his career (nor should they).

Outside of Berlanga, the only other possibles I can think of are Crawford (he's a free agent) or a Bivol rematch, IF Bivol beats Beterbiev (big if).

I hope it's Crawford. I'm a boxing fan before I'm a Canelo detractor, and I wanna see that fight. But Canelo-Berlanga is more likely.

I'm more worried about his mentality than his chin. Didn't he say something like it would be a honor to share the ring with Canelo? I immediately see red flags when I hear shit like that. Sometimes guys fight their idols and they're just happy to be in the ring with them.

With Benavidez, you knew he wasn't gonna show any respect for Canelo; he was coming to hurt him. Munguia? He might just be happy to be there.

$35MIL to Face Charlo, an Opponent NO ONE Wants to See, w/NO Promise of Benavidez Next???:Dont:

Canelo Made it Clear to PBC He was ONLY Fighting Charlo in May, So it’s VERY Likely PBC Said “Thanks, But NO Thanks”…

Canelo Wants A-Level Money for B and C-Level Fights…REED Wouldn’t Blame PBC at All if They Felt it was Best to Get Out from Under THAT Bullshit…

    Bye!

They must've ok'd charlo as 1 of the 3 opponents. But ultimately they probably used Alvarez as a caveat to get Amazon to play ball.

Now I'm wondering if this March ppv happens

Who wants to see charlo? Not me, I told you all his fight with the smaller charlo was rubbish

Depends on what is being offered. 5+ mill ? They'd jump on that. Pacheco is from south central LA

Pacheco's a nobody right now, that's why it won't happen. Can't sell that fight. We hardcores know that the kid has potential, but no one else knows... yet.

    Berlanga's a much bigger name.
