Let's have it right. Joshua was going to win that fight and in short order. But why are heavyweight fights being stopped inside two minutes without so much as a knockdown scored and why are former world champions like Watt criticising the referee for 'letting the fight go too long'? Sprott wasn't even especially hurt, never mind on the verge of being knocked out. It's just dreadful.

These wins are no good for the fighter who is padding his record. Look at what happened to the likes of Price who were given gift after gift like this. Joshua is learning absolutely fuck all from these corrupt stoppages. That was utter tripe.

This is why so many British fighters end up getting stretched at world level. The SKY hype which has ruined fitbaw and countless other sports is starting to spoil boxing in a big way - these domestic level fighters are getting built up in hugely artificial ways with massively padded records only for them to be brutally exposed as soon as they step up a level (Mitchell, Price, Groves, Clev, Bellend to name just five recent examples). The smoke being blown up DeGale and Joshua's respective holes is completely disproportionate to what they have shown to date.
