All I'm saying is once Golovkin is put in with a legit opponent at 160, he will produce the goods.

I agree. But Crawford has ALREADY produced the goods and he's being shitted on.

    Absolutely...

There'd Be Posters Proclaiming GGG's THE Best Fighter in the World, Pound for Pound & Tabbing him to BEAT the Likes of Hagler, Hopkins, Monzon, etc., in Mythical Middleweight Matchups...

I agree. I love Crawford's style and from the first time I saw him fight against Prescott, I saw a talented operator and thank god he got the matchup against a dangerous opponent in Gamboa for people to see that he is a special talent.

 As of yet GGG hasn't been truly tested so we don't know how he'd deal with 1) climbing off the canvas or being badly buzzed or 2) being in a situation like Crawford was in where he was behind in a fight. Is he able to adjust and overwhelm his opponent. These boxes still need ticking. Until then, at this moment in time, GGG is a solid fighter but due to his opposition he cannot be classed in the current elite category.

Don't be ridiculous. Gamboa was plain outboxing Crawford in the first 4 rounds. Showing excellent timing, head movement, footwork, and defense. Not just speed.

I hadn't seen Gamboa fight for a while and forgot how wild he can become and lose focus etc. A comparison with Judah is more appropriate than Khan.

That's funny, he doesn't seem like your type of fighter. Seems more patient and technical, less Mexican.

I acknowledge that's a possibility, that Crawford would win anyway, and Gamboa has ALWAYS been wild and vulnerable. All I'm saying is to me size seemed like the leading factor in Crawford taking over.

Compare Gamboa's Performance vs. Orlando Salido to Lomachenko or JuanMa's???...Or JuanMa's Fight w/Mtwagwa???...Compare Gamboa's Fight w/Ponce DeLeon to That of Adrien Broner's???...

Compare his Fight w/Jorge Solis to Pacquiao's???...

Gamboa's Obviously Flawed, but he's an ELITE Level Offensive Talent, @ the Same Time...NOBODY's Gonna just Walk Through Gamboa, Unless he's Dumb Enough to Move Up to '47 or Something...

Seriously. Lopez is an utter fucking scrub compared to Gamboa.

Gamboa has always looked wild and vulnerable, but I agree he's clearly always had elite offensive talent.

I can tell you right now, if Gaybox stomped Cotto, which he obviously would, I wouldn't get excited or give him much credit for the win. Size would be the primary factor, and it's clear Cotto isn't a middleweight.

I feel the same way about this fight. Is it possible Crawford would have won if they were the same size? Sure, but I can't ignore the fact that Gamboa isn't a lightweight, and the size difference seemed like a huge factor.

You were slobbering over Lomachenko for beating a midget, so somehow I doubt that.

Crawford-Gamboa was kind of like what Forrest-Mayorga "should" have been.

No I wasn't. I knew Little Gary was scrubby before the fight, unlike you, but nevetheless it was a fucking amazing performance for a guy with 2 pro fights. That's what was impressive, the sheer level of craft he displayed for a guy with 2 fucking fights.

I put more stock into size differences than most people here, that's why I give Pacquiao way more credit than cdogg et al for his performances at higher weights.

Crawford is a better fighter than Gamboa. Period. He's less flawed, smarter, more complete, and more durable. End of story.

Great win for Crawford. I expected Gamboa's time off to make him bigger and better suited for the weight class, but if it did, he was still at a size disadvantage. To Crawford's credit, he's the one who made it a factor. I expected the fight to go more or less like it did early, but I thought Gamboa landing would dent and hurt Crawford. It didn't.

The slippery ring also seemed to mess with Gamboa more than it did with Crawford.

Important for Crawford to make $$$ now. No way he fights someone like Vazquez. An immediate rematch with Gamboa would make sense or just some name moving up in weight.

Crawford already stated that was his last fight at 135. Rematch with Gamboa? Lmao! For what? He beat the FUCK outta Gamboa.

    This...

Gamboa is supremely talented but he can't harness it. Crawford has that cool approach. Just nice and relaxed out there, and everything just flows for him.

When Gamboa's athleticism begins to slip, he'll be a bum, honestly.

Watch Gamboa vs Mikey Garcia get made now.

That was my first look at Korobov, and I wasn't too impressed. Decent fighter, but GGG would hammer him.

how about Gamboa vs Lomachenko at 130lbs, how do people see that fight going? just watching the card now and gamboa has been able to land his best shots, but crawford just walks through them. i dont like gamboa at lightweight where is power is less of a factor.

crawford said it himself, gamboa is not a 135lber. and crawford is a big 135lber who is probably moving up to 140 next fight. if gamboa can still make 130lbs i consider him a better fighter than crawford. round 8 gamboa was landing some heavy shots that crawford took well and he was able to stand his ground, fire back and hurt gamboa. aside from maybe garcia i dont see anyone at 130 or below who can deal with gamboa, and even garcia has shown a suspect chin.
