Crawford has alot of ability, but to call Leonard and Jones "flash and speed" is comical. Jones and Leonard had more ability in one of their nuts than Crawford has in his body.
Bradley is never coming back to 140. TC is more talented than Bradley though. That, and he's 26 years old. Bradley is no spring chicken.
You're misinterpreting what I said (probably due to your hypersensitivity when it comes to your heros). My point wasn't to diminish RJJ or SRL. It was simply to point out one of the ways they're different than Crawford which is flash and speed.
Nobody even compared him to Leonard and Roy. So why bring them up? We're not casual fans. We know you don't need exceptional handspeed to have ability. Casual fans might think Khan has more ability than TC, but he's faster handed. But we know that's not true.
If Crawford were to be compared to ANY great, it'd naturally be Hagler. Is Crawford ever gonna be as good as a prime Hagler? I'd venture to say Hell no! But Crawford is a damn good fighter, and he's closer to Hagler style wise than he is Roy and Ray.
Crawford appears to have some of the same instincts as Tito, but there's no indication he uses illegal wraps. Plus, he's quicker.
How salty would you be if you found out Terrence did in fact have big, heavy, plaster of paris wraps?
Crawford's a More EXCITING Version of Vernon Forrest, in REED's Opinion... LESS Jab Reliant, a Tad LESS Right Handed Punching Power, but Crawford Compares FAVORABLY in just about Every Other Regard, @ This Stage of their Careers, in REED's Opinion...BETTER Chin, Thus Faaaaaaaaaaar, Superior DURABILITY & ADAPTABILITY, More DIVERSITY to his Boxing Game.... Terrance Crawford ISN'T as Good as Vernon Forrest Was, Right Now...But he CAN Be... Crawford ISN'T a Stylistic Carbon Copy of ANYBODY, Historically...@ Least Not YET...But For Now, REED Sees More FORREST in Him than Anybody Else... REED:kidcool:
I don't see any Vernon Forrest in him whatsoever. I mean, I can understand Cdoogg saying he's not like Hagler, but he's closer stylewise to Hagler than Forrest.
I don't see the Forrest similarity myself. Crawford fights with more finesse. Is less classical. And is quicker I think. Maybe Crawford is a bit like McCallum? Don't know . Have to watch more.
Perhaps a prime Livingstone Bramble. Bramble, like Crawford, was very adept at fighting as a southpaw.
But irwin was the "tough" opponent he worked up to. It somehow became this tough matchup with build-up.
He was a heavy underdog against Cardona, and that was perhaps the ONLY performance of his career that was an impressive clinic to watch.
