I'd go a step further and say that Bud would have an easier time with Hatton than Floyd had. In fact, it might be every bit as one sided as Crawford-Horn was. Crawford KO 9.
Yeah, I'd agree. If anything, Mayweather was probably a decent style match-up for Hatton, but the difference in class made up for it. His volume, constant aggression and up close style of body work is how Floyd almost lost to Maidana and Castillo. Hatton didn't have the variety or simple quality to capitalise on those advantages (no matter what the referee did). Fighting like that is a good idea against Floyd, but suicide against Bud. Aside from being stronger physically, and being much more ferocious with his counters and combos; he's also a southpaw, which Ricky just never really adjusted to.
Disagreed vehemently. Porter had ton of succes fighting like that against bud. Crawford is not having a field day with Hatton
I think Hatton would be in it for 3-4. Around 5, it'd be all Crawford until the end. Bud's a much bigger puncher than Floyd. Compounded by the fact that Hatton was naturally poor against southpaws.
Hatton would get stopped @ 140 in a mildly competitive fight A WW fight might possibly be a worse beating than the Spence fight
