Anyone else think 60 days is too quick a turnaround for Henderson? The dude was basically knocked out twice in the Rua fight and now he's fighting Cormier 60 days later. I understand Hendo's window of opportunity for a title shot is closing quickly, but it's seem completely unsafe to me.
henderson lost 3 in a row before that miraculous comeback vs a shopworn shogun. even if he had more time, i dont think he beats cormier and even if he did, he won't be getting a title shot anytime soon.
Well, it's billed as a title eliminator so.......... But I'm not really talking about the quick turnaround hampering Henderson's chance of winning. I'm talking about a 44 year old getting hit in the head 60 days after a concussion.
yea, that's a good point. he's probably the toughest mma fighter i've ever seen though. the dude knows how to endure punishment. i dont think cormier will serve him that type of beating though.
Henderson's Fate will be Similar to Liddell's; a Series of 1 Sided KO Losses, Followed by a FORCED Retirement... & Like Liddell, Henderson Probably WOULDN'T Want it Any Other Way... REED:mj:
not a fair comparison. henderson probably has the best chin ever. i think lidell at his best out points hendo though. lidell was an elite fighter during his prime while hendo was always a beatable guy who didn't really have a stretch of good consecutive wins and lost to guys who he shouldnt have lost to.
Thats the scary similarity. In his prime, Chuck had a cast iron chin. Henderson did too, but he's been badly hurt frequently in recent fights.
strongly disagreed, Lidell was good but the main reason he was dominant in the UFC was because of his poor oppositions imo. I feel Hendo is quite a bit higher than Liddell all time wise.
Dan in PRIDE basically knocked out a bunch of Japanese guys and Wanderlei and beat Vitor in a horrible fight. Chuck beat Wanderlei, Vitor, Tito and Randy twice while also KOing Alistair in the PRIDE tournament. Dan has bigger wins overall when you factor in Fedor and Nogueira but certainly not the consistency and with as strong of a peak that Chuck had.
