    Klitschko vs Tua?
Kusher will drop lawsuit if fight is made
Comebacking heavyweight David Tua could get a world title shot against IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko according New Zealand's Sunday News. Tua's promoter Cedric Kushner, who has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Shelly Finkel, Shelly Finkel Management, K2 Promotions, Sport Five and Klitschko, says he will drop the case if Tua is given a title shot early next year. The suit relates to a cancelled Shannon Briggs challenge against Wladimir Klitschko in which Kushner says Briggs was strung along for close to two months by the Klitschko camp before electing to fight Calvin Brock instead. "I drop the suit, they give us the fight ... that's the plan," Kushner said. "Obviously, because I am the one taking them to court, I'm in a position to control any out of court settlement and I'll be looking to use all the leverage I can to get David the shot at the title he deserves." Finkel told the newspaper, ""I think Tua could interest us."

I like david but he's getting stopped . It's very unfortuante cuz i was hoping he'd get a couple more comeback fights under his belts and fight somebody like chagaev or ibragimov or maskaev peter. People he could beat. Against Klitschko he's getting knocked out. 100% GUARANTEED

It's Lewis/Tua all over again except Wlad will be more willing to try and stop a tiring Tua I think.

Wlad will land everything on this guy. Replice of Ray Mercer fight only i'd say ending in a clean KO

Tua might knock out Wlad if he comes in shape. His left hook will be VERY dangerous.

and tua doesn't have the heart of a brewster to walk through a strom to land his bombs. Tua will be passive taking a beating and very quickly discouraged ending in a brutal ko

no it won't be. wlad is too smart. he's very good at creating just enough distance and tua doesn't have heart to press action in a balls to the wall way

I doubt a brutal KO. Tua may just stay on his stool.

Tua is only 1 left hook away from wearing Wlad's belt. It's unlikely at his size that he'll land it.

Interesting fight if it happens I doubt it'd be a good one to watch though , Tua won't be able to outmove the cautious Wlad imo to land anything.

As usual, Tua has a Puncher's chance and little else. I agree with the consensus that he gets stopped.

bad fight for both guys though. Klitschko should be looking to fight the best, not some washed up, squat Samoan who's never achieved anything...and Tua SHOULD NOT be fighting some 6'7" monster with fast hands and power in every punch he throws.

Tua-Peters....would be a disaster for boxing.

They both would come in so fat and slow and heavy...they would gas after 2 rounds and it would be Toney-Peters all over again without the class. Two fat lumps huffing and puffing.

    Its all moot.

    Maskaev-Tua is your best shot.:nono:

Tua has no shot in this fight, but hopefully he makes enough coin to pay for all his legal troubles.

Not even the proverbial puncher's chance? I might have got fooled but I thought he looked way more in shape in his last fight than what we got used to in the recent years. I think he could land his hook on Wlad's glove and buzz him, that's why I think he'd be dangerous. I guess I'm one of these fools that think an in shape Tua will be as dangerous as he was in 1999.

I don't think Tua is much of a threat as a puncher anymore. He was never a speed demon, but he is so slow these days, that Wlad would need to be asleep to be hit with a clean shot from Tua.

Punchers always get more chances and have more belief place in them by the fans, than do most. We're easily fooled by what once was.

Tua at his best could not deal with the reach advantage, thats what killed him against Lewis.

In Tua's heyday when everybody was comparing him to Tyson they forget to mention little things like footwork and skills related to distancing... things that Tyson could do against bigger guys that Tua had some problems with.

    Tua presently forget about it.

WLAD is the best heavy today..but it's not by much...other guys just suck a bit more than he does.

Wlad knows how to rebuild after getting KO'ed..he got KO by Sanders..took a few easy fights...then got stop by Brewster took a few easy fight..then got back on track vs. Peters..but stayed away from Brewster for a while..don't knwo why but he did...then finally rematch him at his weakest moment.

I'll be rooting for Tua, but this fight will probably play out like a more 1 sided version of Klitchko\Peter. Tua may stun him a few times and even drop him, but he won't be busy enough to win more then 3-4 rounds at best.

I can see this (though I don't see Tua dropping him), but was thinking that it may very well play out as a repeat of Lewis-Tua.

I don't think it's a fight that Wlad is particularly seeking, just one that he might be forced to take in order for his team to avoid a lawsuit.

It's a shitty move by Cedric Kushner only because Tua is undeserving of such a fight. But as much as he's taken it up the ass from the industry through the years, Kushner deserves a pass here and hopefully for once things go his way.

It's not like Wlad was doing shit for the rest of the year, anyway.

Yep. That's the logical viewpoint. Wlad may even stop him before the end as well.

Have you guys seen Tua recently? If it looks anything like Lewis-Tua, it would be a disgrace to Wlad.

Tua was getting his ears boxed off by Maurice Wheeler and I had him down 5-1 before Tua stopped him with a grazing bodyshot that made the Bhop-Oscar left hook look like Jones-Hill or Louis-Schmelling II. Tua then went on to win a questionable decision to Robert Hawkins.

Tua doesn't have the handspeed, technique, or footwork to make Wlad run in fear.

Wlad KO 3 by way of Tua quitting...

    Yeah, he's that bad.
