    Anyone else?

In the very least, I think Pacquiao should require that PBF face Mosley before he gets a shot.

PBF has yet to prove himself at 147. Why should he get a shot at Pacquiao?

Yeah, I was just thinking the other day that there was no way I would ever want to see the two best guys in the sport actually fight.

This fight will only serve PBF's agenda of ducking and dodging every decent fighter his size, and instead, allow him to once again enjoy the advantage he so desperately needs of fighting smaller fighters.

Why should Pacquiao bother facing him?

This catch-weight bull-shit has to stop. And that applies to Pacquiao as well.

yeah i would. and i've explained why - because it "still" won't prove anything at 147. news for you - 147 is where PBF competes!!! and he's yet to face, let alone defeat, anyone at 147 - which in case you've forgotten again, is and has been his weight class for years now.

it's gonna be hilarious when PBF's fcked up and grandiose ego gets in the way of his making $40MM to fight another light-weight. :atu:

No matter what Mayweather does (and I dislike him as much or more than anyone else does) you will try to find some way to shoot it down. Manny has just soundly defeated out of one of the very best fighters at 147, which shows he can be MORE than effective at that weight. So the fight IS relevant if it takes place at Welter.

It just sounds like you are preparing your excuses ahead of time in case Mayweather wins.

    here's what will happen:

Cotto will get beaten up and stopped again very soon....thus proving, along with his fight with Clottey and loss to a smaller fighter, that he was always ruined from the Margarito beating....and Pacman's one win at 147 will mean fuck all (especially since cotto had to weigh in at an unfair catchweight)

then Mayweather beating Pacman will mean jackshit as well :hammert:

no. if PBF takes on and beats Mosley, he'll get credit from me! it will have been the first time Mosley has beaten a real guy in his division. don't you think that's long over due?

PBF bitches that he's in a no win situation with Pacquiao. well, then fight Mosley. nobody can say Mosley is too small. nobody can say he's shot. nobody can deny his status as a top welterweight.

all you have to do is watch PBF/ODH to see why PBF's next two fights came against guys in smaller weight classes than his.

I think Pac is going to be exploited AND Floyd is REALLY GETTIGN HOOKED UP. When Floyd wins, all his homosexual fans will yell, I told you so. The fact still remains that Pac kayoed a guy Floyd ducked and retired rather than fight in Cotto. He even ducked the utterly skilless Antonio Margarito. To date, Floyd has fought two actually Welters bALDOMIR AND DLH and both sucked when he fought them. The fight has to happen though. Still, Floyd has been a welter for years. He needs to fight actual welters someday.

Floyd is the bigger man naturally and he is more skilled. He deserves credit, but Manny is not a welterweight even if he plays a good one on television. Still, Welter is weak right now. Who else would be a bigger challenge right now.

Shane Mosley is probably hoping this fight doesn't happen, but he's about it.

From a divisional standpoint, Pacman-Mosley is the fight that makes the most sense because of the fights they had at welter.

It will probably be more fan friendly as well, because Mosley is more pleasing to MAIN street occasional fans. They don't want to see pot shotting, circling, single body shots here and there eventhough he is controlling the action with his speed.

From a drama standpoint, there will be more hoopula to see if Mayweather can be defeated once facing a RISKIER level of an opponent than Floyd being fighting the last 8 years.

Manny doesn't look blown up or diminished at Welter. And since he just destroyed a top Welter in Cotto, he has shown (no matter what weight class people want to shoe-horn him into) that he can compete at a high level at Welter. And to be honest, I've NEVER considered Mayweather a full blown Welter either.

This isn't Tyson taking on Spinks at heavy or Frazier taking on Bob Foster where both Spinks and Frazier were clearly lesser fighters than they were at Lightheavy.

And the notion that Mayweather should have to EARN a "shot" at Manny is so ridiculous that it makes my head hurt.

Why is it ridiculous? In one fell swoop Pacquiao has managed to accomplish more than PBF has in several years as a welterweight.

They are the fighters considered #1 and #2 in the world right now. It is the fight all serious boxing fans want to see.

You are just trying to build up a case against Mayweather, because you totally hate him past the point of reason, so that if he wins you can say something like "Yeah, but he didn't fight Mosley so the win over Pac is diminished".

And every additional "I hate Mayweather" topic you spam the forum with just lowers your credibilty even more.

Which do you think is a tougher fight for PBF? Pacquiao or Mosley?

I want the fight to happen...but afterward if Mayweather wins he will be heralded as some awesome fighter/welter...without EVER having fought the likes of Cotto, Margarito, Moslye, William...

What does that have to do with anything? They are both good fights and I'd be interested in seeing either one. If I could only see one of the two I would see Pac-Mayweather because Manny appears better than ever and Shane, while still good, is on the other side of his career now.

If you would have asked me this before Saturday my answer might have been different, but after watching Pac maul Cotto the way he did...I am much more interested in seeing how Mayweather would do against him.

Mosley. For sure. His size and toughness will trouble Floyd. I'm still having a hard time imagining Pac beating Floyd.
