    Whiskey, I thought the 3rd one was very good too. It had a scene with a Yugo, you can't beat that.

    It's funny how Willis got replaced. Apparently he wanted a million dollars a day and Stallone was shocked and said no. It actually seems Stallone is beefing with Willis now as he reportedly tweeted "WILLIS OUT . . . HARRISON FORD IN!!!! GREAT NEWS!!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!," then following up with a second tweet reading "GREEDY AND LAZY . . . A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE."

    Willis does seem to be turning into an ass lately. I saw a youtube interview for Reds 2 where he was trying his hardest not to be an ass but it just kept coming to the surface.

    Well Willis actually only had to work 4 days for the movie. ANd he was getting paid 3 million. He wanted 4 million. A million for each day.

    I don't want to see Harrison Ford doing bad ass scenes. He will be the oldest looking of the bunch. I'll prefer to see him as military general or the president briefing the Expendables to their next mission.

    Here’s your official The Expendables 3 lineup: Returning Expendables Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger will be joined by fellow action vets Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, and Harrison Ford. New recruits include Kellan Lutz, MMA star Ronda Rousey, welterweight boxing champion Victor Ortiz and Glen Powell. If you missed Sly’s sly tweeting last week, Bruce Willis is out of the franchise — and how. Mel Gibson is aboard as Conrad Stonebanks, Barney’s (Stallone) ex-Expendables co-founder who’s back with a personal mission of vengeance to end the mercenary gang. Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) is directing from a script by Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt (Olympus Has Fallen) and Stallone. Filming begins today in Bulgaria with almost exactly a year until Lionsgate releases the pic on August 15.

    Expendables is mindless action gore with lame dialogue. I'm not looking forward to it and might skip it altogether.

    Nope. I explained this in an earlier post here. The difference is in the dialogue. Sure there's lots of good to great action sequences, but the dialouge doesn't compare, and is usually cringe worthy. Even with the 80's action flicks the story was no deeper than the Expendables, but dag darn it, at least the characters always had interesting convo's. Now adays they open there mouths and it all just sounds like a bunch of filler.

    The dialogue in the expendables is just fine. The dialogue in the 80s stunk to high heaven of cheesiness so i am not sure what you are talking about.

    To be honest any of the Rambo movies from the 80's feels like Citizen Kane next to any of the Expendables movies.

    He's never looked that big, but he was in pretty good shape even in the first few Lethal Weapon movies. He's always been sort of an ecto-mesomorph, but his arms look massive there. Perhaps he's taking a sip from the same Fountain of Youth as Stallone?

    Thank you! And it isn't just Rambo, almost all of the 80's flicks had great dialouge where guys like Willis, Sly, and Ahnold got to not only say nice cool dialouge but express and show the qualities of their own personal character through it. You don't see any of the personality quirks that made the big 3 special in the Expendable films. If anything it looks like they're searching for a way to write those things in and just can't find it anymore. A perfect example is the church scene in part 1 that has all of the big 3 together for one of the most unforgettable scenes in history, once you factor in the star power.

    But what you dont seem to understand is that the characters dont need to be developed for The Expendables because we already care about them for the work they put in during the 80s. For some odd reason, you seem to completely not understand the point of these movies and why they are so popular and successful.
