Honestly, Karl is my boy and all, but why would you have him interview Henry?

 

He setup the interview, so I think it's fair that he's part of the show.

Make sure you mention that anyone who can score a fight knows he lost clearly.

Also, let him know that he did not score a knockdown if he tries to claim that he did.

Again, that's your opinion. I thought he did score a knockdown. I'm actually going to rewatch the entire fight right now to make an honest opinion. That way Joony doesn't say "CARLOS DOESN'T WATCH BOXING" ::

Nah, it isn't my opinion. It's there on video for everyone to see.

 

some people thought Herny won. It was on many forums. So it's just your opinion. Some people still think that Hagler beat Leonard when it's so clear Leonard won by two rounds.

I thought you were talking about the knockdown, sorry. The knockdown objectively didn't happen... but you're right, it is my opinion that Henry lost clearly. I'll give you that.

 

lies. you've never seen full 12 rounds of hagler-leonard.

there were more than 'some' who thought hagler won. there was nothing clear about that fight.

 

Correct. Hagler was an idiot for spotting Leonard a two round lead, but it obviously could have gone either way. That fight probably had eight or nine swing rounds.

there were two borderline calls, but (at least) one would've been called a knockdown in most other fights.

That said, I still had what's his face winning (not Henry), even if one of the knockdowns counted... Diaconu. Almost forgot his name, which pretty much sums up my overall thoughts on the fight. Was decent, but neither presented themselves as a threat to any titlist any time soon.

 

I dunno Jake, I didn't see it that way. I thought there were a few missed punches followed by a Diaconu slip against the ropes.

I agree that neither is a legit threat.

 

He was on his way down. How the fuck do you slip on the ropes? He was in the crouch position looking to go down.

translation: I have no fucking idea how you can slip on the ropes if you actually don't sit on them to try and stay up. Afterall if the ropes hold you up from falling it's a knockdown. But in Canada we don't know shit about boxing because are fighters suck. :notallthere:

I know the rules. They don't need to be explained. I have watched the thing at least 30 times, and there's no way it was a legit KD.

It's not worth arguing really. All officials involved agree with me.

 

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. If anything, I'm Donnybrooking it. Just saying that it's a knockdown in most other fights, and that it's not unfathomable to suggest that Diaconu got the benefit of the doubt with the fight in his native country.
