Floyd would timidly peck his way to a points win, but the early lead Tall Paul builds up due to Floyd's tendency (at 147 and up) to take a while to get going makes him sweat out the announcement.
ugh, so which is it? he's shot or has he always sucked? he won more than 3 round vs. martinez if not 6 or 7. not to say that that mayweather doesnt beat him, but let's not pretend as if he williams is some bum who gets outboxed everytime he fights a slick guy.
Paul would win more than 3 rounds for sure, in fact I think he would be difficult stylistically for Floyd. I think it'd be a 7 to 5 type of fight. Make no mistake, the Paul that fought on saturday was basically shot. He was awful.
With Williams in his face all day with no attention to defense you really think it'll be a struggle for Floyd?
Be far and away the best big fighter he's ever been in there with... Williams at his best would have flat out HANDLED the Oscar De La Hoya that Floyd tepidly outpointed this is a giant Welterweight who throws weird punches non-stop and does it for 12 rounds... Floyd would not have an easy time at all... anyone who thinks he would is not paying attentiont to the types of guys he's fought as a Welter
I stillthink Floyd wins, even though it will be close on the cards. The height is an issue obviously but if Quintana can outbox 147 Williams I'm sure Floyd will solve the puzzle at some point
The fight this past weekend has NO bearing how the fight would have turned out if they had fought when they should have. So forget it, Floyd apologists. That being said, Mayweather probably wins, but it's far from easy.
Williams is a terrible matchup for floyd. He would give him major problems, probably win on volume. Floyd isnt a southpaw.
Mayweather via UD. It would be too one sided for Williams to get a gift. This would be counter punch city.
