I was at a party and a few people brought guitars for the usual strumming around the fire. As I was leaving, I propped my guitar (nice Washburn accoustic cutaway) up against a car to chat to someone, then the car started moving and CRUNCH - he ran over my guitar. The thing was totalled. The dude was very apologetic, but here's the kicker - he said "My brother is a luthier, I'll get him to look at it". Sure enough, his brother was indeed a professional luthier, . 2 weeks later, the guitar is returned intact, and to this day it plays better than it ever did prior to being run over.
