Game of Thrones season 4 trailers

Nah, I'd forgotten about it watching the finals. Right before I went to bed I remembered, so I downloaded it and I'm going to watch today after work.

 

Just what lb4lb said. You will get instantly hooked with the plot and the characters alone.

Also during the first season you don't get any actual fantasy elements until the very last scene of the last episode and when it shows, you cannot help to yell out loud 'YESSSS!!!!'

 

these bald motherfuckers shoulda run over that place like the romans over Karthago. This was kinda unrealistic - I don't care about fucking mammoths and giants lifting tons of steel (well actually a little bit) but the bunch of inept mofos guarding castle black had no business fighting those guys let alone winning.

 

Those guys weren't inept. The night's watch are all well trained not only in armed combat but also in defense of castle black. You're thinking too much of the new recruits who were inept but there are a lot more night's watch who've been there for years.

WTF? For the much hyped 'Best Episode Ever' last night's was the most disappointing season finale ever. Sure a few people died, good riddance, never cared for any of those characters, but the ending was not great at all. That said the Bran Stark sequence was his best in the whole series til now. Finally things are getting interesting for this character. The attack of the White Walkers was neat.

 

If anybody says "not enough happened" in this episode. You need to just STFU and go back to watching Harry Potter or Michael Bay films or some shit.

The expectations for this show are ridiculous sometimes.

Tywin and possibly the Hound were a few of the best characters.

And that scene with Bran at the tree was probably the most disappointing. WTF was that little elf thing throwing grenades? Also If that guy in the tree had been watching over Bran and Jojen their whole life and knew exactly what was going to happen, why didnt he send the elf out there before the skeletons killed Jojen?

Thats the biggest concern for me, that this is going to focus too much on the fantasy/sci fi stuff and get away from the actual character relationships and development.

 

What ever happened to "Lady StoneHeart"? I really hope they start off with that next season since it was supposed to happen at the beginning of this one. Seems like the Wall will get more screen time now that Stannis and his bitch arrived. Also, those dragons won't be too happy after being betrayed by their mother, they will come out pissed off and ready to cause some serious chaos. Better unleash them over Westeros before she loses complete control over them.

 

Maybe the silly bitch should have tried feeding them 3 huge squares a day before chaining them up, then maybe they wouldn't have to go eating people's livestock and little kids. By the way, what is up with Araya? Is she not turning into about as heartless a mofo as a goddamned white walker?

RIP for Tywin and possibly the Hound, 2 characters I will miss. Should we give a RIP for Tyrion? Will he still even be on the show now, and if so will he be the same? I think they used a body double for Shae. That leg they showed in the bed looked so nice I had to do a replay of it. Sure enough when they cut away from it they went straight to her upper body and when they showed that leg again it looked a little less voluptuous.

 

Well, I for one welcomed the more fantasy elements since this is a fucking fantasy story after all, not King Lear. The old dude in the tree have been around since season one: he most likely is the three eyed crow that has been watching Bran all the time. As for the fates of Tywin & the Hound, I found that Tywin's demise was a little anticlimactic for my taste. The Hound was badly injured, but was still alive; so I'm not sure if he will be back next season. The last scene with Arya sailing to Braavos was beautifully filmed, but so what? is that were Tyrion is going too? The Daenerys scenes were short and the black mean dragon is still loose so not much accomplished there. Yes, it has lot going on, but it wasn't as satisfying as the first season finale, Red Wedding, Purple Wedding or The Red Viper vs The Mountain episodes.

Many think he dies off camera a slow painful dead.

 

Don't know my favorite but season 4 is easily my worst.

 

The Hound is dead. If the wounds from the fall does not kill him, the nasty infection in his shoulder will.

 

Don't forget infection on his now gone ear!

 

Personnally I loved the season finale. I cannot point out which season is my favourite, The whole serie is fucking great.

 

Imagine both of them as White Walkers! Jon Snow could have his hands full!!!

 

Yeah, but isn't that what "Game Of Thrones" traffics in? As much as I like his character, I'd be a little disappointed if he's NOT dead.

How many story lines have been built up, only to dash them against the rocks, regardless of fan reaction to it?

It's definitely a "shit happens" world these characters inhabit.

 

I don't think White Walker qualifies as "isn't dead". :nono:

 

I want them dead, dammit! :fist:

 

I'm talking in generalities, you're talking in specifics.

What I'm saying is GOT usually bucks the usual tropes of what we expect from our cinema/storytelling.

This is just another trope they can smash, by never being exactly clear about his fate, but knowing the brutality about the land they inhabit, we can be rest assured there will be no miracle cure for him.

This isn't "The Walking Dead" where each major character who dies needs their own fucking Viking funeral, to say goodbye to the fanbase.
