Maybe, but he's a very tough fight for any current Welterweight.

Also, on TV his punches look very telegraphed but I think he has a subtle timing on them that causes him to connect more often than it looks like he should. He disguises his haymakers very much like how Holly Holm disguises her roundhouse kicks. Brook, Thurman and those guys will get hit with those punches, make no mistake.

Id pick thurman over garcia, but its not some gimme as some here seem to be insinuating. if garcia is +250 or higher in that fight he is certainly worth looking at wagering on

I forgot to set auto extend on the dvr so i only saw the first 6 rnds. Looked close but Garcia was developing his rhythm and was dfinately landing the harder shots. Tough for anyone to look great against ghost, based on what i saw my opinion hasnt changed about Garcia, he is the guy to beat at 147.

fucking fox! 6th round of the fucking fight when the show was scheduled to end! not even auto extend would have helped youm fucking amateurs!

typical garcia fight. barely scrapes by in uninspiring fashion.

the 7 rounds i saw guerrerro was winning.

I fail to see what's impressive about Danny Gift. He beats up a shot Paulie, gets praised. He drops 4-5 rounds to a shot Guerrero, gets praised.

Porter destroyed Paulie in 5, and got flack for it.

Thurman pitched a shut out over Guerrero and dropped him, got flack for it. Makes no sense. Garcia is ALWAYS getting passes.

I think there's 6 welterweights in the world right now who would beat Danny Gift. The 6 are Thurman, Spence, Brook, Pac, Bradley, and Sadam Ali.

On the plus side, Garcia showed good use of his right hand, moved well, surprisingly, able to pivot around Guerrero and keep the right distance for his counters, and he did good work to the body.

On the not so good side, I don't think this performance will scare anyone. Garcia is open to straight punches, and he telegraphs too many shots. I'd make him the underdog against Spence, Brook, Thurman, Sadam Ali, and I think Bradley would beat him. He'd be even money with Porter, and he'd kick Khan's ass again.

Kell Brook should jump all over this fight. I doubt Garcia is interested in a Khan rematch and they do want a unification. I say make it happen.

I'd take garcia over ali. Thurman looked good against guerrero, better than garcia did, he got no flak from me. He's still flawed and it's foolish to think he's some lock vs garcia. The kid ain't great but hes a winner
