I thnk that was a case where GGG didnt respect his power and wanted to KO him early so he really gave no fucks.

I agree. Also, Brook burned energy in a way that was never going to work. Jacobs may have shown us the way to beat GGG but Canelo can't repeat that. That being said, so far movement and countering have been the way to trouble Canelo and Golovkin doesn't do that

Yeah this will be a case of Canelo moving forward like a bull and GGG counter aggressively, trying to land a hard shot on The ginger. It should be pretty wild.

i'm in two minds, I think GGG wanted Brook to hit him but he also did not expect Brook to land some of the superb shots he landed. As they say, no-one likes to get hit.

I don't buy that Golov WANTED to Brook to hit him. That's some Golov fanboy shit right there that makes it sound like Golov only gets hit when he CHOOSES to get hit, which is inaccurate. The guy is not a great defensive fighter.

I'll buy that after tasting Brook's best, Golov felt he could handle it, and was willing to take shots to dish out damage.

I doubt he'll fight Canelo the same way as Brook. He'll display more of a methodical approach with more use of his jab, but Canelo is gonna land some good shots.

I think you know as well as anyone that Mosley goes into "good boy" mode when he's getting hit too much and doesn't like it, or as in the case with Pacquiao "let's touch gloves and please don't hit me" mode. A year after Pacquiao, he showed way less respect for Alvarez's power, despite getting hit with everything in the kitchen sink, to the head and body.

Mosley's reactions are what first made me question the Ginger's pop.

I don't think Alvarez is feather-fisted or anything, I'd say his power is decent, and I think more than likely he'll hit hard and accurate enough to gain GGG's respect. But if he doesn't, and it's a case where GGG just walks him down and Canelo can't get his respect, I wouldn't be surprised.

Does Canelo know how to clinch? He has slow feet, he may have to use clinching tactics to slow GGG down.

Brook actually did okay standing his ground with GGG, it's when he when channeled his inner poor-man's Sumbu Kalambay dancing it allowed GGG to break his eye socket

30 days out and Golov weighs 170. Not a big deal at all, he'll easily shed those 10 pounds, but he usually weighs around 165 30 days out. I dunno what to make of it. Maybe it's by design.

He's Getting Older and NOT Losing the Weight as Quickly...

The WORST Thing he Could Do is RUSH to Take it Off Though...If he were 175, that'd Be a Bit of a Concern, but 170 is NATHAN @ this Point...

Thinking about this fight there's been times I've been on the VERGE of switching my pick to Canelo, but I realized that was just nerves. I analyzed the fight in-depth in my head last night, and I truly believe Golovkin is the correct pick.

Golov is gonna find it a lot easier fighting a midget like Canelo, than a really tall middleweight like Jacobs.

I think he's gonna implement a similar strategy that he used against LeMoo. And yes, Canelo is a lot better than LeMoo, but he's still gonna encounter similar difficulty getting past the Golov jab.

Golovkin TKO 11 and I'm sticking by it.

I agree with your points, although I pick Canelo. Your logic is sound and I agree that GGG will utilize the Lemieux strategy of the persistent jab. I also think that stylewise, Canelo should be easier than Jacobs on paper.

Canelo though has very underrated Defense and Whiskers...and I think this'll be apparent on fight night for everyone to see. Canelo also has extremely good combination punching ability and faster hands than often given credit for. These qualities means that he'll always be competitive at the very least...and will likely have a higher connect percentage than GGG. In a close fight, Canelo doesn't lose decisions.

You're definitely spot on about the last sentence.

If the fight goes 12, unless Golov has won in DOMINANT lopsided fashion, they'll give it to the Ginger.

That's why Golov needs to stop him.

Word. There is NO WAY Golovkin can get a fair decision against Canelo on USA soil.

REED Lends No Credence to the Lemieux Fight Because Canelo has a BETTER Jab and a More Varied/Versatile OFFENSE than Lemieux...

Lemieux is the Harder Single Shot Puncher, he's Bigger than Canelo, but those are his ONLY Edges...Canelo's JAB is Better, he Moves his Head More, Punches in COMBINATION, Punches to the BODY More Effectively, etc...

1 Fight or Fight Strategy Will Have NATHAN to Do w/the Other, in REED's Opinion...

For what it's worth, McGregor claims that Golovkin has looked badly out of shape up in Big Bear for this fight.

I know McGregor loves running his mouth, but he doesn't really have any reason to lie about something like that. He has no skin in the game regarding Golovkin.

Plus, I do find it a big strange that the Golov camp hasn't realesed ANY training footage of Golov so far.

Add to that the fact that he's a bit heavier 30 days out than he normally is, and maybe there's validity to the story.

I think McGregor may have just been talking shit because of the competition between the PPVs being so close together, and with Golovkin and Canelo both giving their opinion on what Mayweather-McGregor really is, a circus. He did have a point about Canelo's feet being slow.

I won't make too much of it. Canelo is heavier than the last couple fights for the 30 day weigh in, but he's lighter than in other fights.

    This YT channel is terrific:

Golovkin would send McGregor to an early grave if they met in the ring, that's not debatable. But even a buffoon like McGregor can occassionally speak the truth.

Trust me, I ain't changing my prediction. Golov stops Ginger late.

Also, this isn't a built-in excuse IF Canelo wins. It's 100% Golov's fault IF the rumor is true and he's out of shape for the biggest fight of his career,

If Canelo is standing at the end of 12, he does indeed win.

Golov and Abel Sanchez are both well aware of that.

I have no doubt that Golov ain't coming in there looking to win a decision.

Golovkin won't be around for much longer
