Forgive me if it's been done before.

How does GGG deal with the speed and power of Hearns? He's never seen anything like it.
How does Hearns deal with the chin, strength and relentlessness of GGG? He's never seen anything like it.....er....waitaminute....yes he has....against Hagler...and got KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!

Triple G is not likely to RUSH Hearns the way Hagler did. Just not his style. He's more in the methodical break you down type of mode, as opposed to a wilder charger who can make you fight at a torrid pace.

Hearns wins via UD or possible late stoppage.

Very interesting take. I didn't anyone would pick Hearns to last the distance with GGG...much less possibly stop him.

Despite already being 33 years old, I still need to see more of GGG before I decide to pick him to Barkley Hearns

I think GGG is terrific but I don't know about him against a guy of this caliber

I wouldn't expect G to do a Hagler and swarm Hearns, nor do I think he walks face-first through his punches and Barkley's him, but I do think he could methodically stalk the Hitman until he either wears him down or sneaks in a well-time punch that turns the fight in his favor.

I'm sorry, but if you struggle with Danny Jacobs, I can't take you over Tommy Hearns.

    Hearns by UD.

BTW - kinda weird that you favor Golovkin over Hearns, but Hearns over Roy.

    Golov couldn't shine Roy's boots.

Not at all, G and Roy are almost polar opposites - they're not going to match up against Hearns the same way.

How do Duran and Barkley compare with each other, and which had more success against Hearns?

Barkley had the willingness to sell out and go for broke.

    Golovkin would not.

The cold hard truth about Golovkin is that past prime or not, the only three quality quality fighters he's ever faced in his career (Jacobs, Canelo, Derevenchenko) he's struggled and looked far less than the Tyson-like wrecking ball he was hyped to be.

He was largely a myth, and I regret not listening to @REEDsART, who for years tried to tell me.

Well, I learned, even if I learned late.

    Hearns would beat Golovkin's ass.

What's wrong with not looking like Tyson against quality fighters?

And Canelo is rated one of the best P4P fighters in the world today and has likely already secured a spot in the HoF - G is widely recognized as having beaten him in at least one of their fights.

Hearns didn't do that much at middleweight either. Blasted out the promising but untested Shuler, won DeWitt about 9-3 and beat an old Roldan. Those are not results that GGG couldn't have achieved as well.

This is pretty much 50:50, easy to see a win for either guy
