I thought about a poll here, but I decided to leave it open-ended, given the mass complexity such a question poses. Obviously, there are some sterling candidates. Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Harry Greb, Emile Griffith (who inspired this thread), Fritz Zivic, & several others. Do you have a choice? Myself, I might just lean toward Charles, here --- but you can never be certain, really. Here was a man who fought Hall Of Famers like it was going out of style...
For the same reason Ali shouldn't be brought up in this thread, neither should any of these black and white warriors. Ali's resume is considered so good because of the magnitude of his impact, and the stories people made to go along with his fights. So guys like Ken Norton and Earnie Shavers get brought up as evidence of a deep and glorious resume, when those guys are at/below the level of tommy morrison. Charles' resume is objectively amazing, but not because of the contender/nobodies that litter old timer bukkake parties. The fights with Moore/campaign at HW/solid MW/LHW career is worth mentioning, but for deep resume gimme someone who fought and beat a boatful of championship calibur fighters. Pacquiao or Duran
That's a complete sentence! Not bad for an irish loving emo rican. Life must be so hard:clapagain::clapagain:
Emo rican? Ya really must be much smarter & more creative than me, Jaws: neither I nor google have any clue what that is.:bears:
Not sure it warrants the assay of 'drivel'. Drivel usually at least makes sense before being uninformed or agenda driven. I think 'gibberish' was more apt.
jaws resents people older than him because he's still a kid, he's going through that time in life where everything is upside down... it isn't easy starting your freshman year and now all the girL that liked you in 8th grade are into Juniors and Seniors because they have hairy nuts and you don't let's just go easy on him, he's just a kid a kid with an adjustable basketball hoop and a 16 inch waist
