if he needed fewer than that to make Vitali's eye look like that and stagger him, then I suspect he could have done the finishing damage in the next few rounds with less than 20 right hands, so in that sense I stand corrected

 

C'mon Damien... there's no denying that he was grossly out of shape for the Vitali fight and the first fight with Rahman.

There was actually a point three weeks out from fight night where Lewis wasn't even certain that he was fighting that night. I remember seeing him at Gatti-Ward III and thinking he didn't look like a guy training for a HW title fight. The card was actually going to get canceled until HBO seriously upped the ante just to save the date.

I had heard the phrase "eye injury", as well as "detached retina"...but I understand you may not havce, English isn't your first language and Vitali doesn't have to worry about suffering eye injuries...he's immune.

I am at a complete loss as to how a man who is stopped by the ringside doctor because he has cleaves in his face is somehow deemed by ANYONE with a pair of working eyes (which is more than Klit had, to be frank) to be 'fresher' than his opponent. Both men were very tired but Vitali was NEAR FUCKING BLIND whilst Lewis had just had his best round and was landning flush right hands.

You do NOT want to be near blind when Lennox friggin' Lewis is coming at you throwing right hands. It is NOT good for the health, either in the immediacy or long-term.

He was deemed more fresh of the two because he was running around the ring trying to get the doctor to let the fight continue while Lewis was sitting on his stool breathing like his lungs had filled with water.

I cannot believe that anyone would argue that there shouldn't have been a rematch. At the time, Lewis was considered to be getting better into his 30s, but now his age is used as a reason as to why he couldn't fight again? Is that really all you've got?

 

Actually it is a Wladimir fight that the boy in question complained about weighing the gloves for.

 

Please don't make me post the picture again my friend. Vitali's face was a bloody pulp, with a doctor declaring he risked perminent blindness if he fought on. These injuries were caused by punches in the face, as often occurs in boxing. Thus the fight was stopped and the injured man declared the loser.

I don't know why you include me, I actually like the brothers Klitschko...I just think you're a wannabe Ukrainian Alabama Man and my feelings don't get hurt when fighters I aprpeciate watching are criticized online.

I nodded to the doctor and the fight was stopped... earlier, Mitchell snuck over to Klitschko's water bottle and slipped a magic pill in there that causes your left eye to start hacking itself to bits... the pill was manufactured by the good folks at FEEBLES, INC.
