Listen, YOU ARSE BANDIT....it doesn't hang together as a trilogy as well as the others. You dont judge a film by judging the first, second and third half hours separately and adding their scores together and if we're judging the category 'trilogy' you dont judge the films separately either, you take them as a piece. there isn't the same continuity as vs BTTF.

The third movie drags it down a bit, even though it's a solid movie. The Dollars Trilogy is the best imo, as the movies got better as they went along.

WHAT ARE YOU, SOME KIND OF FAGGOT-ASS FAGGOT????!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't have continuity??? It traces three generations of a mafia family, for fuck's sake... The whole thing REEKS of continuity... Two of the three films are almost unanimously listed among the top 20 or 30 films ever made... THAT MAKES IT THE BEST TRILOGY!!!!

STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF A TRILOGY, McFLY!!!!!!

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is the only true quality film out of that trio, IMO... The other two are entertaining, but pretty silly

bullshit. The third movie is so underrated because it's not as good as the first two. It's still a very sold movie.

Here, FANNYBAWS, the third doesnt even have Duvall, because he wouldnt do it. So they hobbled together a rescript on the fly in response. Hows that for continuity, YA MAD FANDAN?

Duval didnt do it because he wanted to get paid what pacino was being paid. Duvall served his purpose. He wasnt needed in 3

BTW, Godfather is clearly a trilogy, because the third movie would make absolutely no sense if you had not watched the first two.

Highlander is a wee bit like the Matrix in that the first film was superb but shouldae been the end o' it - Ye dodged a bullet or two ba no' seeing the others, like.

Ah'm sortae confoonded that Ye and MacArturo havenae seen the first 3 Star Wars films. Ah saeppose it might have something tae do wi' Ye both being born aftae 1983 when Return o' the Jedi was released. There's a laddie at ma work place who is similarly oot o' the loop.

See, if only the third Superman hadnae been a wee bit wank... couldae been a trilogy contender.

These 2 new Star Trek films have been pretty zarjazz so far - the future third might just make the combined three live long and prosper.

If Ah see Star Wars on, Ah'll drop Ye a wee note. All 6 were recently repeated this Christmas gone. Most of us here grew up wi' the original films, like, so the sentimental blinkers are firmly in place.

    SEE YOU, STAR WARS!

The real magic of the Highlander concept is in the series. Wish it had more of a following because it is definitely better than these vampire/werewolf series that are going around.

I watched the first Highlander went it was first released and thought it was good, but not memorable. The next two were just plain awful, to the point I never cared to watch the tv series.

I agree with Billy regarding the first three Superman movies: had the third one be as good as the first two they could be contenders for Best Trilogy ever since the first two are film classics. Unfortunately that third one with Richard Pryor is unwatchable.

LOTR could never be overrated to the extent that it would be lesser than three goddamned Karate Kid movies

I have little interest at all in LOTR or similar genres and I found the three films entertaining and enjoyable... I couldn't ask for more than that from books I have zero interest in reading

Karate Kid consists of one marginally okay, but nonetheless silly, feel-good movie and two utterly horrendous sequels... It's ridiculous to claim they are better films than the LOTR films

I never read the LOTR books, but i found the trilogy very enjoyable. But i wont watch them twice. LOTR is also a much better trilogy and movie than karate kid. But i cant count the number of times i have seen karate kid.

Ah absolutely love the first film wi' the one exception o' Christopher Lambert's choice o' footwear... white basketball boots wi' a Columbo Mac? Whit the fuck?

Ah watched the vast majority o' the TV series but didnae think it complimented the first film so well. Ah liked it as a standalone but it was a bit daft (silly) at times wi' all the illogical plotlines which seemed tae change every five minutes.

There can be only one! Still, much like Hoot's threesomes, Highlander was but two films short o' being a great trilogy, like.

I was going to post exactly this before I read your post, fully in agreement EXCEPT that Godfather Pt III is an undeniable turd. The ONLY reason the Godfather trilogy is the greatest is because of the greatness of the first two films. The third was SHIT.
