I've met him a couple of times and he's a serious guy who works hard and I think he's got a bright future. He's cracking with both hands but he might have a problem with slick fighters though because my friend just told me Ola Afolabii was beating him up in sparring last month basically playing with him and making him look average.
Ola Afolabi is a genuine 200lb cruiser, one of the best in a pretty competitive division, he also has massive experience thanks to sparring with some very good fighters like Wlad. Guy is a serious, much improved competitor. Looking bad versus him in sparring isn't a bad thing ,necessarily. Just for what it is worth, is 175 the new 190? Nobody seems to care. I think its a pretty irrelevant division now, it seems to be somewhere to live while you are trying to get a place somewhere else, or somewhere to live after you lost your previous home. Guys like Joe Calzaghe and Bernard seemed to be camping out there for a bit, Adamek packed it in and ran off to 200 and 200+ :dunno:
I like what I've seen from him so far. He just needs a promoter that can take him places. All due respect to Roy, but he's not a real promoter and doesn't have the resources to do anything for him.
Ha. I didn't think much of him the first time I saw him spar. And not that Despaigne is all that, but good enough to where if Ismayl couldn't fight, that would've been the fight to prove it. Instead, he schooled him - badly. That was the first fight that made me a believer, plus anyone who KO's a Judah is OK in my book.
Daniel Judah has been around for ever it seems, without actually doing anything. :: He is one of these fighters who just seems to be. His pro-debut is never announced. His retirement is never announced. He just is.
If by have it all you mean every letter in the alphabet in his name then yes he seems to have it all.
if he is Ukrainian then why does he look black and have a muslim name? Oh, and a Pole complaining about too many letters in a name, now I've heard it all.
Bump. Not to appear clever, since I was high on Sillakh too when he first came around. If you don't remember him, it's the guy Kovalev trashed in two rounds a while ago yeah, I'm bored
Dudes with sort of mouthful names like this should go by "Kid Minneapolis" or "Johnny Kiev"... That sort of thing
