Yep. Unless Jacobs gets him out of there. Seems like Jacobs needs to switch something up offensively - he has not landed too cleanly in last few rounds
Bivol does look Beter than Beterviev, and he Beter be a lot Beter than Beterbiev to get the Beter of Beterbiev.
I think Miller is pretty good actually. His size and style would make him a tough proposition for anybody.
His size and strength are his greatest attributes, yes, and he has a pretty good engine and punch output for a big guy, but I'm just not convinced. I'd like to see him in against Breazeale, Whyte or Parker next.
I wouldn't say impressed, but I like him. I like his style and he's rather skilled. I think the table was set for him to stop Arias and I was kind of disappointed he couldn't put him away but he won with room to spare, no doubt about that. Not that it matters a lot but I also like his personnality. Seems like a great guy.
Beterbiev was lackluster but I wouldn't write him off quite yet, as he does have great amateur background, and the demolition of Cloud was impressive too. This disappointing performance could be due to the ring rust because of the promotional problems. Not saying he would beat Bivol, but uninspiring performance against a German spoiler isn't the whole truth
Beterbiev never really impressed me. When you look at his resume, the results are impressive, but when you watch him, he looks like a eurobum plodder. Kovy would destroy him imo
I thought Beterbiev was kind of boring Saturday but at the end of the day, he won every minute of every round and then got the stoppage. So not sure why the sudden doubt about the guy.
Yeah. His appealing personality probably does color my judgement. But still. When you consider what he's accomplished recently - very close fight with GGG, 1st round ko of Chocolate, and now easy win over Arias. Has good chance to beat either canelo or ggg after their rematch.
I've never been overly high on Beterbiev, so I'm not just basing it on Saturday. If Kov has a decent amount left in the tank, he would still beat Beterbiev. The Kov of a few years ago would definitely wreck Beterbiev. It's true that Bivol has to tested, but what we know is more times than not, the superior talent wins in this sport. And it's quite apparent than Bivol is more talented than Beterbiev. I mean, is the scrub Beterbiev went 12 with any better than the Aussie Bivol obliterated last week?
Is he any better? There is a good chance he is a lot more durable. And bear in mind - they both won the same number of rounds in their respective fights.
shitty as in unimpressive and unable to properly break down these negative foes to stop them in an efficient manner.
Ok. Interesting standard. Easily winning every round and in Beterbiev's case ultimately stopping his opponent seems like success to me.
Also this Koelling guy that Beterbiev beat up is not that easy to look good against. He was 23-1 and as an amateur made it to the Olympics, and he is one of those German Ottke-types with high guard, good jab and zero punch. That is, he is scrub but effective spoiler
