Why did this guy move up so long ago, remain inactive while once in a while fighting a nobody? He could have stayed at Cruiserweight and dominated for another few title defenses and made some big fight money against the likes of Mormeck, Braithwaite, Bell and David Haye. This guy seems to me to be some kind of flipping yo-yo. Pathetic management and bad career planning will leave this guy in tears 10 years from now...once it's over and he realizes just how much money he didn't take advantage of earning. Actually,..the guy is talented..but way too little to be a heavyweight by today's standards. Vitaly will humiliate him. And that's a shame because about 8 years ago, JC Gomez was one of the top 10 P4P guys imo.
No,....and yes, it was Yanqui Diaz. And he got flippin' DESTROYED Here it is ........ <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/e7cUUwIQXd4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/e7cUUwIQXd4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
ARe you kidding? He didn't go down,...but all he did in the last 30 seconds of the fight was stagger around and take flush bombs while offering little defense, let alone ANY offense. He was getting pummeled. y
Gomez got caught by a shot he sure as hell didn't see coming. He'd have fared better years ago, his more recent fights with McCall and with Sam show how good he is at hvy, but he's 35 pushing 40 now....... he was the best at Cruiser... It's too bad he and Jirov never fought, that would have been a great fight. His most recent outing where he beat up Virchis has him next in line for vitali
Gomez in the Virchis fight looked like he could be difficult to beat to everybody in the division not named Klitschko
