Day 21: Both workouts done. Shoulders and abs today. I've got the four-pack showing, but I want that six-pack. Maybe in about 80 more days. LOL.

Day 23: one cardio session was done in the AM, and then I hit the gym again at lunch for weights.

Day 24: 5:30am cardio thus far. As it's an early morning session, I do elliptical until it is either light enough out or snowfree enough that I can jog without rolling an ankle. Lunchtime weights and after work weights and cardio are planned.

Day 46: It's been awhile since I updated this on Fightbeat and it'll probably wind up deleted anyways. I was going strong up until 2 days ago. Today is the second day of physical rehabilitation. Long story short, I'm taking a week to let things heal (left arch, wrists), so this has become a 107-day challenge, including a weeklong interlude of rehabilitation.

Buddy - I thought cardio was detrimental to weight-training/muscle-building ?

Why would it be? I'm not trying to build lots of muscle. I did enough of that over the past year. Now I'm toning up.

Day 50: I didn't expect to be sitting this day out, but that just means it'll be a 105-day challenge. The foot is back to normal, and I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. :)

Down 17lbs already. It went in spurts, but once I started jogging 5km regularly, it started dropping again.

Day 56: I kept it up over the weekend and this morning. I'm more than halfway through now. I think I'll probably wind up 30 or so pounds lighter at the end.

I might even be lighter because I was 206 after drinking close to 2 litres of ice water.

Day 57: Make that 205. I was right, BOSS. I'm down 18lbs and now the same weight I was for the last 7 or so years. I was waiting for this one for awhile because I put on extra weight this past year while powerlifting. I've had to keep icing my left arch to make sure it doesn't get strained or bruised, but I'm off for my first jog of the day.

Today's Day 59, and I'm about to go do an 8km run. I've found that my bodyweight fluctuates daily, and sometimes you have more water in you than others. Best notion: drink tons of water. It cleans you out. The bodyweight isn't as much as a concern as cleaning out the toxins and waste products of cellular respiration. I got hung up on weight for awhile, but I know it comes off with a bit of concentrated effort.

Day 66: A few days ago, I made it down to 200lbs. I jog daily and my foot is all better. My wrists are healing although not as fast as I would like. Still, I'm down 23lbs since the start of this odyssey and I've kept the muscle. I've got 39 days to go, so hopefully I make it to 30lbs down with the weight-loss being bodyfat.

Day 68: Damn, I've rebounded back up. I don't know what's causing it but I'm back up to 205. This is gonna be harder than I thought.

Day 73: Well I've been at just over 200 for about a week, but yesterday I dropped to 199 and today to 194.8 after jogging in the hot humid weather. I know I'll bounce back up a bit but overall I'm down 28.6lbs since Day 1. I was between 200-205 for the past few weeks, so it's no surprise that I was able to drop below the 200lb mark. We'll see what happens in 32 more days.

For the record, today is Day 76, and I am doing well. My wrists are feeling much better, so I can hit the weights. I am playing a bit of a balancing game, but we'll see what happens.

The food is key. You have to cut out those white carbs. Even though I've got 28 days to go, I'm not going to stop counting days till I hit Day 200 or so because by then, I will be 170 or less.

Day 91: 14 days left and I'm just under 200lbs. It looks like it'll take longer to get to 180, but I feel good and light. At the end of my 5km run tonight, I sprinted the last few hundred metres. I'm feeling pretty happy and the weight is staying off.
