Day 94: About a half-hour after working out, my nerves are still rattling. I tried Tabatas for weights and for cardio. I did 30 minutes and barely made it to the bathroom. I had a bigdawg "bubble guts" special and thought that at least 2 yards of intestine would be hanging out afterwards. Tabatas---my first time trying them, and it really cuts your notion of functional strength down. I'm fucking tired.

I confused myself a bit with that one. LOL. It's the allergies and sleep deprivation.

I found out something cool though---because I've been training so regularly, my Saturday pigout day resulted in me actually losing weight even though I ate an entire chicken and bacon pizza. I'm probably overdoing the training, but I've got 1 week left in my 105-day challenge.

Day 100: I'm 197, and I've learned a lot about what works for my body and what doesn't. I've also learned that the weight I was carrying was reducing my mobility and not very good for my joints. I have 5 days left on this challenge and came back from a 5km jog a few minutes ago. ANYBODY can do this, and it really helps to have a training tool like this thread so you can take note of what does and doesn't work. That way you can look back at times you had trouble. I might not get down to 195 in 5 days, but I'm going to do a second challenge after this that will consist of healthy eating, weight training, and cardio of some form.

 

Man, I worked legs today using the tabata method and thought I was gonna fall down the gym stairs on the way out.

 

Even though we might not always seem eye to eye Buddy (Mostly because you're like 4 feet tall) I still am proud of your hard work if indeed it's true! You go Buddy!

 

Dude, I've kept track of it here and on Facebook. I guess I could post a photo or two in three or four days, but I run the risk of getting my head photoshopped on to a picture of gay sex with George Takei, courtesy of Hanzy. I will definitely get pictures of myself taken prior to Stage 2 so I can compare before and after.

For Stage 2, which will be another 100-Day Challenge, I plan on doing 100 days of mixed cardio and tabatas, trying out new workouts to find out what will really affect change. I feel like a teen again, trying out different workouts.

I never had that issue. I was a big man before I was a fat man, if you smell what I'm cooking.

 

Day 104: Ain't that a B.

1 day left and the best I'll be able to do today and tomorrow is a very short walk. I just got back from the hospital---I have a bad case of pneumonia and was so dehydrated. I just had 2 litres of intravenous, including antibiotics, pumped into me. I have to go back tonight because it's a bacterial infection and it's fucking with my kidneys. Damn shame because it is beautiful out too.

Laugh all you want, dude. I'm just happy to be alive. Of course, when you had your brush with death in your car accident, I didn't immediately start going after you about it, did I? Looks like I just have more class than you. :dunno:

That's right. After having a sinus infection for 2 weeks (probably because of the unusually cold, rainy weather here in Ottawa), it moved to my throat and lungs. After 3 days of symptoms and 8 hours of coughing up blood on Saturday (so, perhaps not THE softest guy out there), I brought myself to the hospital and got checked out because I knew it had to be pneumonia. Kidneys started shutting down because of the bacterial infection. I have really bad pneumonia right now and my lungs are screwed for the next week or so at least. If I lay down, I start coughing blood immediately. I'll probably have to sleep sitting up for the first few days because if I lay down, I can't breathe. I haven't slept in over 2 days. And the fun isn't over, the same doctor wants to see me again. "You are much sicker than you think you are", he said. So I have to go back tonight after midnight because I only decided to go after 1:30am and I knew I would just keep spitting blood all night.

 

Well yesterday, strangely enough, I hit the 30lb mark that I set for myself when I made this challenge. Of course, now I need to consume as much fluids as I can before I see the doctor tonight. LOL. Ah well, looks like at least a week of no training.

 

I'm glad you're ok. Hopefully you treat this as a wake up call. You don't have to spend your entire life behaving like a piece of shit.

Also, coughing up blood for 8 hours before going to the hospital isn't hard. It's dumb. Really dumb. You have a family to take care of. Smarten up.
