Just for Hanzy: My New 100-Day Challenge...

Considering you typically try to start up pointless feuds while I have been giving your posts a pass from tossing out insults unless you instigate. Your second sentence could be answered with pot, kettle, black.

I never claimed it was hard, but it's also something that has never happened like this before so I handled it the best I could when I was sick and not thinking clearly. The reason I was coughing up blood for that long was because I wanted to see if it would subside and I could get a night's rest. I'm usually asleep by 10-11:00pm on a Friday or Saturday, so I thought that would happen as I drifted off---but then I started to think it would take longer to drift off, and I would doze off for awhile and then cough up blood. I also didn't want to be coughing up blood in the car on the way to the hospital, and I WAS taking care of my family by letting them sleep and trying to stay as far away in the house as I could from them.

 

I thought I had irritated my throat from coughing and maybe burst a blood vessel because my throat was getting rough. I didn't realize it was lung blood.

 

Day 105: I got lost on the way into the parking lot (going on 40 minutes sleep the last few days). So I wound up walking around the hospital grounds for at least 20 minutes just after midnight. It was inadvertent, but it qualifies as cardio in my book, considering my state (and the sprawling grounds of the Queensway Carleton). It wasn't the cardio I expected to end the challenge with, but I'll take it. 105-Day Challenge complete, but I'm not currently reaping the health rewards I thought I would.:scared: :bangh: ::

Now that I read this in the light of day, your concern over my health is a bit touching. I think you've turned a corner, steve_dave.

 

I don't want anyone to die. It's not your fault you were born this way. Sickly and stupid. That's a potentially lethal combo.

 

Actually, I guess it's time I take pity and acknowledge this rather unique type of crush you have on me, jonesing for my attention, following me from thread to thread. There's someone out there for you steve_dave. It gets better.:truce:

It was bright. I know the blood gets darker the closer it gets to being reoxygenated by the heart when it passes through the circulatory system. Dark blood can also mean blood toxicity caused by your kidneys not filtering it properly.

 

You didn't exactly deny the crush there. You're busted.
