Hmm...Duran hung tough with Hagler for 15 rounds, and Hagler is...well Hagler. I'd better be careful here....

    Fuck it...Pavlik by decision.

Duran is just too small, especially when you consider the styles. Pavlik has glaring limitations but he's a tough son of a bitch, solid power, tremendous workrate.

Pavlik is 6'2" with a Lightheavyweight frame. Too big for Duran.

And before anyone mentions it, YES Duran beat the large Barkley who in turn had beaten Hearns. Pavlik is better than Barkley was.

Pavlik might be too long a fighter for Duran

Hagler was 5'9, so Duran was able to counterpunch and sort of frustrate him

Against Pavlik he would be at a marked disadvantage trying to fight at mid-to-long-range ... I mean, it is certainly possible that pavlik is over-aggressive and Duran is presented with myriad opportunities to carve him up with counterpunches, but even Pavlik isn't so dumb that he would be unable to see the benefit of sticking the jab out there and making Duran come to him... Certainly possible for Duran to win but styles make fights and I think Pavlik, even with his obvious limitations, could win a decision here

This would be a one-sided beating in favor of Pavlik

Pavlik might win, but he's no Tommy Hearns. It wouldn't be one-sided.
